Sir,
Could you provide a link to the website where one may purchase the KZ Sling Loop? looks like a very useful item.

I bought it from here KZ Loop End Plate Sling Adapter
for 19.95 and if you use the code "stimulus", you'll get 10% off.

The sights are definitely knock-offs. The lock doesn't look like it engages in the up position and the screws are button head hex instead of pan head flathead that Magpul uses. The design is really simple, so they probably still work.

I got them on Ebay, but the seller is no longer registered and the auction was taken down. If you want, maybe you can contact his directly. Here's his info from my paypal receipt:

I just took a closer look and I apologize, the MBUS cost $22 shipped, $17.50 plus $4.50 shipping. The seller is in China and I paid on 10/29 and received it today.

i would avoid doing business with sellers off-ebay specially those overseas and no longer registered.. there are definately reasons for that (usually suspended accounts or worse.)

My Mbus sights on my M&P15 MOE don't lock in the up position. as for knock offs on the 22, I use Troy clones on mine they work fine for a 22 how they would stand up on an AR i dunno

I was looking around for MBUSs too. The cheapest place around (on all Magpul items) and the only dealer listed at Magpul's website.

How well do the real mbus hold up to repeated raising/lowering? I currently have the stock iron sites, with a PA M3 clone, set for lower 1/3 cowitness. At the range, I switch several times per session between sites and red dot. I was thinking of changing out just the rear site for the mbus, just to get a bit more cleaner look thru the m3. The stock site is working out great, but how would the mbus hold up to frequent raising/lowering? I guess I would not really be using it as an mbus.

I don't understand why you're asking what you're asking? The MBUS' main purpose is to fold and unfold. It's not going to harm them in any way.

As per their name, mbus, they are made as backup sites. Which to me indicates they are not used often. Hense they may not be made to be raised/lowered on a regular basis. I would be raising/lowering them quite often, and don't want them if they are not designed to be used in this way and would break.

For that price I'm going to try them. Main reason I want MBUS is because they are alot lighter than the oem irons. Something as mechanically simple as a spring loaded plastic iron sight, I'm sure the Chinese had no problem making a high quality replica that works as good as the real thing.
If something is complex dont buy replicas. If it is simple a replica is probably going to be fine.
I usually won't buy replicas because I don't want to support a largely unethical business practice. But in this case I feel MAGPUL is doing some serious price gouging on a cheap and easy to manufacture plastic item. Alot of their stuff is reasonably priced but what they want for the MBUS is rediculous.
