Default My little girl and the 15-22

I've been slowly trying to see if my 7 year-old will be interested in shooting. The 15-22 with the Bushnell is proving to be an excellent teaching tool. It's still a little heavy for her to hold it up on her own, so I let her shoot it prone off my range bag. She popped a few baloons and coke cans. It put a smile on both our faces. I may have a shooting partner after all.

Excuse the cruddy cell phone picture.

THIS is what is needed more often! MORE kids need to be properly trained on the use of a firearm, and just get to enjoy themsevles in the process. Congrats!

Sounds like an awesome day for both of ya!!

ps. No apologies needed for the pic. It's the subject that matters ... a father & daughter spending the afternoon shooting is one of the best pics posted in the 15-22 Forum in a long time.

Good for you, Dad! I love it when a dad gets his kids involved with shooting. First thing my kid(28 years old) asks when he comes home is "what are shooting?"

I've been taking both of my daughters shooting and they love it. Just goes to show ya that you don't have to have boys to have fun.

When I got my son into shooting at that age, we filled balloons with flour then blew them up literally. For my son it was like shooting tannerite, when he hit those balloons his face lit up with an ear to ear smile.

Its good to have shooting partner...

very happy to hear you are shooting with your daughter! I had the luck of having a dad who taught me too. I agree more parents need to teach firearm etiquette (and that goes for moms just as well as dads). A bipod would be a great idea for her

Glad to see a Dad spending quality time with his little girl! She will remember times like this for the rest of her life. If only more parents could say they did the same! Bravo to you, plus it's always great to get someone new into the sport!
