No, but I have seen them I believe in the pics thread in this forum. These are all basically just for looks and would just thread right on to your barrel. I thought $40 for my spikes was about the right price, but $115 wow.

I also like the spikes version better because it just goes under the handgaurd rail, thus to me a smoother look

this one has the advantage of bolting on a non-threaded barrel, but i think it will leave some marks on the barrel where the small allenbolts hold it in place.

I do agree the price is steep but I'm working with a non threaded barrel and have limited options

Ah, makes since with the non threaded barrel option. They also have this one, Smith & Wesson M&P15-22 Short Barrel Shroud - Tacticool22.com, but yeah it's a little more plain then your original choice.

I agree. And Belt_Fed will custom make one to the customer specs. And speaking of.... Hey Brett248 where's that thread you started with the pics of Belt_Feds extended charge handle latch? Maybe give it a bump for all the new Forum members who may have never seen it.

I went with the corn on the cob suppressor. twelve set screws hold it on and they do mar the barrel but I like the suppressed look so even if I removed it, it would be replaced with another. I have some pics on page 117 of the photo thread. As to cost, I've spent more than $115 on dinner and drinks and woke up the next morning hungry, so I don't consider it a real waste. Maybe a small waste, but I like it and that's what counts.

If you have a threaded barrel or the adapter, you can always put a threaded barrel shroud on your rifle.
Or turn the shroud around like the third pic. That's the long threaded shroud turned around. It makes for a long rifle, but it looks really good in person.

+1 on the non-threaded long barrel shroud from Tacticool22. Just got mine yesterday and installed it today. Solidly attached with the set screw. Very happy with the high quality of the shroud and it balances out the look. Highly recommended!

Jubs, where exactly is this set screw located, and what model or length did you buy from Tacticool? I've got one on my Christmas wish list!

The set screw is 1/2" from the front end of the barrel shroud. It's a black high quality one and does a great job grabbing onto the barrel. The shroud itself is very high quality re: fit and finish.

Talking RE: Oh boy . . . . .

Hey Guys,
My first post on here after lurking for a few days. Very informative forum and, since I just picked up a new MP 15-22, I have already learned alot. I stopped and looked at the 'fake-supressors' thread. BIG mistake . . . . Liked what I saw. Oh yeah , , , let the mods begin ! If it's one thing these rifles do need, it's something on the end of the barrel !
BTW, my ser. is DUR 9XXX
After visiting the RRages' website today I placed my order. When the goodies get here I'll post some pics. Dressing up this rifle will be my winter project of sorts. So far I gone with the slip-on 'corn-cob' supressor, the Magpul angled forearm grip, the Magpul rail covers, ladder covers, NC-Star AR-tri-riser, S&W 10 rd. mag., and a 35" Bulldog tactical case. Everything in BLACK of course.
I already have a CT6X40 Weaver scope with the fine cross hairs, small-center dot, and some Millet low-rise rings for it. Should be a sweet setup for target/plinker !

I received my long barrel shroud from Tacticool22 today. It's all personal opinion of course, and... my opinion is that it made my cool looking 15-22 even cooler.

Not going to get one myself but I understand the appeal. Does look pretty cool obviously for looks rather than function.

Just ordered my short barrel shroud from Tacticool22 last night. Is it too early to set up my lawn chair by the mail box?
