camo 15-22
Just to add some fuel to the 15-22 fire, I saw on lipseys web page that there is now a camo 15-22 (listed as picture coming soon). Might be good for those who want to hunt zombie squirrels without giving their position away.

It says what type in the description.
Finish:Realtree APG Camo
Granted a pic would be nice, but we all know what Realtree camo looks like. And if not, here is a link directly to a piece of fabric made with Realtree APG camo.

They say its real tree. The gun is going to look like a picture of a forest pretty much.

I've been thinking about painting my 15-22. Has anyone on here painted theirs?

There is a camo 15 22 somewhere in the picture thread, saw it months back. Some one did a good job of the paint scheme.

I don't like the standard camo companies make, but there are some great custom camo's in the picture thread.
The desert one is great. (some professional shots of it, you'll know which one when you see it)

nothing says i'm a wanna-be hunter type more than that. i really hate how that looks. Now if they would of went woodland or woodland digital, that would be bad***.

At least it's for something you'd actually take out squirrel hunting and not truck accessories.
I'm not a fan of most foreground camo patterns. They only work well if you're in an environment that's close to the pattern, sitting still.

haha that is true, it could always be worse. its all preference but i feel like the target market that appeals to is going to be wayyy smaller than a normal one. could have been an investment made in something else to bring us better products. even plain olive drab would be cool to compliment the FDE models.

That is awesome. Do you think painting the rifle (externally, no moving parts) would cause warranty issues with S&W. Seeing as these rifles sometimes have issues and need to go back I don't want to shoot myself in the foot.

My 15-22 is painted and has been to S&W for service while painted. They didn't mention anything about the paint being an issue at all. I was very careful to not paint the innards of the gun at all.
