Default 2nd range trip with my M&P15-22

I took a trip out to the range today to shoot my M&P15-22. I tested a few different brands of ammo and all functioned almost flawlessly. I had installed a vertical foregrip and a single point sling and the sling works wonderfully when doing rifle to sidearm drills. I did have a couple failures to fire on the Federal Champion 525 round value box but it ran well using Winchester Super X and CCI Mini Mags. I also shot my brand new Browning Buckmark and had maybe 5 failures with that gun. I love running rifle to sidearm transition drills and now I can do it at an affordable cost!

I've had a few other .22 firearms in the past but none of them were as much fun as the Smith & Wesson M&P15-22! I'll never get rid of it.

Welcome subnine. Glad to hear you peg your fun meter each outing with the 15-22 as well. I closed down the indoor range last week, put 400 rounds through it with only an insignificant number of FT ejects. I've also had a few instances of ignition failures with the Federal Bulk, but they fired the second time every time.

Sounds like you did good and had a lot of fun! I just about totally use CCI Mini-mags and Stingers, and haven't had any kind of problems or failures at all! Sure, they cost me a little more, but what the heck! I don't have to worry when I pull the trigger.....

Enjoy!

I can't blame ya jammer, I'm a mini-mag (and soonn to be CCI tactical when they come on sale online) shooter only. When I've paid three times the cost of 100 mini mags for only 20 rounds, I'm not too worried about them bein six fitty.
