Default Painting the MP15 22

I got bored the other day and decided to try out the Krylon camo paint for plastic. The paint seems to bond very well with the polymer. I painted the rear stock, magazine, rail covers, and front grip. I've had it out a couple of times and the paint hasn't shown any sign of wear........just thought I would share in case anyone is interested.

Thanks for posting. I've been debating this for some time now. I think I will start with my airsoft M4 and see how that goes. I don't really care if I screw that up. I am a little anxious to do it on my 15-22 though. Looks good on yours though.

Thanks, I had been considering it for a while and finally decided to do it. I just painted the parts that I had spares in so if it messed up, it wouldn't be too bad, but so far so good.

I didn't do any prep at all......I usually use rubbing alcohol to wipe down whatever I am painting. I skipped it this time and it still seems to stick very well with no prep or primer. It took 3 coats to cover it well.

looks good. I lightly sanded the really smooth stuff, sprayed with light coat of primer then a couple (2-3) coats of color. Been holding up fine for over a year now.
