A big thanks to Belt_Fed for ordering the suppressor and helping me through the entire process from beginning to end, as well as a fantastic job of threading the Ruger barrel. (Belt_Fed had already threaded my 15-22 last year)

Once ordered from YHM it took 3+ weeks for it to arrive at Belt_Fed's and it gets locked in a safe there. At that point the paperwork began (Had to wait to get the suppressor for the Ser# on it to begin the paperwork). Belt_Fed mailed the paperwork to me the day the supressor arrived... then I had to do my part. I got a background check done by my local Sherrif's office (Free), finger printing (Free) and photos at Wagreens. The only delay was that the Sheriff was on a two week vacation. Once he got back it was signed off that same day. I got the Money Order at the Post Office and sent everything to BATFE Atlanta on 9/22. The approved paperwork arrived back from the Feds on 12/17.

The bolt on the 15-22 is by far the loudest part... it sounds like a roll of quarters in a 1 foot long piece of pvc sliding back and forth.. basicly it has chonk sound about the same level of sound as dropping a boot from belt loop high. The wraith is an excellent choice for a rimfire can its lite at 5oz and big enough that it don't look funny on a rifle but small enough it doesn't look stupid on a pistol(aka my 30 cal can on my s&w 22a). Phil made a good choice for a dedicated rimfire can

excellent, i wonder how many yards the sound will travel to the naked ears.

I shoot mine in the back yard and as long as I don't shoot into a bullet trap my wife doesn't know it... if I shoot the trap she can hear the ding

Not too bad. An hour or two of running around for a lifetime of suppression.Well worth it IMO.

All I need is encouragement to spend more money on
something just for the "gee whiz" factor--as in "gee whiz" that's pretty neat!

Do you have to carry around some sort of paperwork with it or just have it on file somewhere?

Long time no see my friend. Nice to see you posting again. Yes, you're supposed to have a copy of the paperwork with the can in case the authorities want to see it.

I've spent a lot of time on the road lately. It seems to have calmed down for a while.

How would one screw one of those things on a Sig Mosquito or something similar?

According to Sig they have a setup that accepts 1/2 x 28 threaded muzzle devices on the Mosquito.

Yes. There is so little muzzle report that the loudest sound is the bolt smacking/clunking back and forth (and I'm surprised what a racket these rifles make). Lots of new sounds.... I didn't realize how loud a bullet was when hitting a dirt backstop. When shooting at stuff on the ground i can hear the bullet ricochet and start tumbling making a whirling/buzzing sound and then a twang as it spins off..... Brass falling on the cement pad is becoming annoying.

Alright, that sounds like a challenge to Belt_Fed, Phil, and Taciticool 22 to come up with ways to silence the bolt. We just need to have some plastic 22 casing rounds and that will fix the brass on concrete sounds

I have already solved the brass noise. I'm giving the wife a pair of leather gloves for Christmas.

that video is awesome, maybe with a polymer bolt and polymer casings you will have a very quiet zombie stopper. sounds like a lot of work for it but looks very worth it congrats

if i remember correctly someone here was making a bolt buffer type thing and gave out about 10 to people to try out. not sure where thats ended up lately

would it be quieter with sub-sonic ammo? from what I understand you can't fully supress the sounds of firing a round, but you can get very close if you use the right ammo.

With hv ammo in a 15-22 the round will go super sonic and the sonic boom is almost as loud as the gun unsuppressed..sub rounds stop the sonic boom and 90% of the noise is mechanical
