Default little pissed at Brownells

Went onto Brownells website and clicked on shooting accesories and saw the Magpul CTR for 19.99 had the cc out before the page loaded only to realize the price is not for the butt stock but for the pad. There is no price range just 19.99, im disappointed.

There is a price range, $19.99 for the recoil pad for the CTR and $94.99 for the CTR stock itself. Therefore, there is no reason to be "pissed" at Brownells. Anyways, your never gonna find a Magpul brand CTR stock for $19.99. I, however, found myself an off-brand CTR stock with the rubber pad for $19.99. Works just like the real one and you really can't tell the difference. Best way to go if you want to save money.

As you scroll through the acc. there is a picture of the buttstock and says CTR stock and the price says 19.99. if you look both up and down of that stock in the price range it shows a low and high number. Anyways dont matter what brand was the one you got and who was it through? Thanks

after all, they are all just plastic right. I don't see how people pay that much for parts like that, then complain about spending between 400, 450, or 500 on the actual gun they'll have forever.

Well, if you must know where I got it from... It is an airsoft CTR stock, shipped from a dealer in Hong Kong. I use the stock personally for my airsoft gun and that thing gets more "combat" tested than any other real firearm stock I use. So far, nothing has broken on it and it works fine (had it about 2 years now). I tested it out on my MP 15-22 just to see if it would fit and friction lock in place. It did and it fit snug on there, no wobble like the ****** stock the MP 15-22 comes with. I put my old stock back on just because I don't want to use up my airsoft stock, but whatever, it works.

I'm not saying you should use this on your .223 or anything, but I don't think it would hurt putting it on the .22LR MP 15-22 which has almost no recoil. It all depends on what you are using it for.

Basically, if you don't want to spend 95$, you may want to consider this. Lets see what the rest of the forum has to say about this. There is probably going to be some hate towards it because its an "airsoft" product. But to me, plastic is plastic... this is just cheaper. I have seen both Magpul plastic (my foregrip is a real Magpul foregrip, not airsoft) and this plastic. There is no real difference, this plastic is just as hard and durable.

Here is the dealer's page, shoot him an e-mail if you want one. Remember, he lives in HK, so he doesn't reply with perfect English. He also may not have the stuff in stock, e-mail him.

Bigdad's ACM Catalog - Airsoft Forum

Here is an example of what it looks like (on my airsoft gun). It is the FDE CTR version.

Yeah, I'd have never known the difference.

I did the same thing on my 15-22. Got an airsoft ACS for like $35 and it works very well. Nice cheek rest, friction lock, and has an extra 2" of length compared to factory stock (my preference is for full length rifles, so I shoot with the stock fully extended).

I'm running an airsoft EMOD stock on mine. I paid $42 for it to a local guy who deals airsoft stuff. He's got all kinds of Magpul, if you want an MOE, CTR or ACS for a reasonable price. PM me if you want contact info for him.

I placed my first order from them (by necessity , after the Aimpoints went on for $299 literally the MOUNTS started dropping like flies, I mean you could WATCH THEM go out of stock DOWN THE LINE, it was hysterical but sheeeity atr the same time!!!) so I ordered a Daniel Defense mount from Brownells, but not before asking on the phone the shipping details.

Their website lists like "Regular Mail shipping, regular mail better , ground shipping from a shipping company, a little bit better than regualr, some more better than that, real good shipping, and real rreal really awesome!!!"

Really detailed huh? I call nd get Fruity Pebbles the Customer Service agent, he is very upset he gets alot of flack at his job for using his purposely-inflected lifestyle-choice accent. He informs me $12 for "ground shipping from UPS". .. keep in mind this item is like $65 dollars, and its a FEW OUNCES, like 2 or 3 OZ.

Minimum $12 for not putting it into an envelop.

NExt bext from $12 goes to like $20, thats like "3 days around or so"
or $30 for 2 day.

And no offense, I got a better 2nd Day Air rate from Midway, for a Micro, a Nikon Prostaf 4-12, some volquartsen parts and also a leupold lenspen. and you want $12, $20ish or $30.

Fruity Pebbles asks that, now that he's confident I understand the options because I've repeated them so many times, do I require further assistance with any other matter? Or are you able to go now and complete your transaction on the internet ordering site?

Honestly. I had to give them my money because, what was I going to do, not have a mount?

It's going to be here some time next week, M, T, W, who knows! The gunsmith is waiting lOL..
