I have zero knowledge on your local laws. However, a shroud does not change the barrel length or suppress sound or flash in any way. I don't see how it would change the status of your firearm. Good luck.
To the OP, good videos. Thanks for posting.

Definitely check your local laws, rules, regulations, Etc. If there is a doubt, don't do what you want to do.
Thank you tylerrybkowski for the great vids and review.

ADCOR RIFLE COMPATIBILITY
I currently have a Adcor rifle (gas piston) will the S&W long barrel shroud fit my rifle?

No, but our threaded barrel shroud will if you have a threaded barrel. With the muzzle brake off, measure from the muzzle to the gas block, or bayonet lug, whatever is most forward. This is the longest the shroud can be. Then pick a length that is less than that measurement.

I measured at 5 1/2", I believe the 5.25 is the correct size. Tried to buy on the website but sold out... Do you know when it will be available?

We have one 5 inch in stock. The 5 1/4 and the other lengths were just some leftovers that we trimmed down to see how they would do. They went very slow. We have lots of 4.5 and 6.0 inch in stock. Custom lengths (and threads) can be done, but it can take a while because we don't have things anodized every day or even each week.

Did anyone find out if these were legal in NY?
Looking all over and I think it only bans them on pistols.
