Default CCI AR Tactical 22LR ammo

sorry if this question was asked already but I tried to search it.

Yesterday I went buy more ammo and I always get he CCI Mini-mag @ Cableas

then I saw this on shelf above it

I looked on CCI website and said:

Quote:
* Excellent accuracy in AR-style .22 LR firearms (1.5 inches at 100 yards in factory testing)
* Optimized for AR-style function and accuracy
* Specifically tested for S&W M&P 15/22
CCI Ammunition - Product Detail

anyone tried this yet?

Since they no longer list the Mini-Mag 40gr Round Nose, I'm guessing that is probably the same ammo.

Correction, they list #0030 but falsely as CPHP, which it's not.

There are several threads on this ammo. It's not Mini Mags in bulk; it was developed by testing various different shapes to find the one that fed best in the AR-type .22LRs. Several members of this forum have tried them (I have several boxes but the snow up here is too deep to get to the range, never mind actually shoot) and reported excellent results. Virtually no FTFs or FTEs.

Search for threads on this ammo or go to the "Notable Thread Index" at the top of the forum list and you will find a lot of information on this ammo. By all accounts it's great ammo.

Right now it's a Cabelas exclusive but supposedly this year it will be more widely distributed, which will hopefully drive the cost down.

If you are willing to buy in bulk (1500 rnds) at a time, you can get CCI Mini Mags for $5.66 shipped to your door! It's the best deal I've seen in two years. Instructions are in this thread post 43 of the page on the link below
Cheapest CCI Mini Mags in bulk?

Make sure if you do get the deal, post in the thread stating the date and that the code still works for the discount. I purchased 1500 rnds four times and got the discount every time.
