B.A.D. Lever for 15-22
So, I've been searching this forum high and low for a BAD for my 15-22 and have had some advice from straightshooter47 where he sent me a link to a step by step process of bending a AR15 BAD lever to fit the 15-22.
What type of BAD Lever is everyone interested in, Magpul?
I've been working at a machine shop for quite sometime and will be willing to start working on a design specifically for the M&P 15-22 without us having to do any bending. A true bolt on functional part. What I need to know is, how many people would be interested in a BAD lever for their 15-22?
I don't think it'll take long to create a fully functional part.
Please reply if your interested because I don't want to invest too much time if none of you guys are interested.
Thanks.
Joe

Try and let it work like a real lever. Couse i thought a bend one will not cooperate with the magazine drop out button ??

I think that the MAGPUL looks cleaner than most I've seen atleast, I suggest that.

Joe,
If you make one, look at the Phase V Tactical EBR2--it's a single piece lever and catch in one. I would definitely be interested.

Why would you file the lower. Wouldn't you rather bend a $30 pc of aluminum?

Wouldn't you want a direct bolt on??? If you're buying a part for your rifle why should you a) bend it or b) file it.
I prefer making something that's a direct drop in fit for the 15-22.

To everyone that is interested in a B.A.D. specifically designed for the M&P 15-22 please add me to your friend list. I should have it done by next weekend. Once it's done I'll post pics, price and a full description in the classifieds.
Thanks guys, I see I'm not the only one that wants a true bolt on part without bending and filing to "make it fit"
I'll talk to you guys soon

Looks like a Timney Skeletonized drop-in. I have a skeletonized Timney 3-lb on my AR-15 and a standard 3-lb on my 15-22.

I will echo these statements, I'm sure you will have no problem selling these as long as they are of good quality and LOOK good, and OPERATE good.
Thanks

I'm in for one (maybe two)!!! I do like the Phase V Tactical EBR2 but not the $50.00 price tag. The Skeletonized version would look sooooooo cooool and complement the belt_fed charging handles.

I'm interested in one. Functionality, looks, and price will be the deciding factors.

A design like the Phase V Tactical EBRv2 is advantageous because it adds strength being a single integral part rather than a bolt on, but it is probably more difficult to create.

Had you looked at the the phase 5 brand release the part that fits inside the rifle doesn't look like 15-22 release . I might be wrong ,but look at it real close.

The Bolt Catch on the 15-22 is designed to work with the 15-22 Mag and bolt, so the design (shape) is different. The AR-15 bolt catch is wider and shorter than the 15-22 catch. I have one and wanted to use it, but it's a no-go.

Gentlemen,
Let me give you guys an update. The design has been finished but I just haven't had a chance go run the part yet. We've been pretty swamped but hopefully I can find some time on the mill to run it this week.
The design is similar to Magpul and the part will be high quality. It's being run on a CNC mill and will be a direct bolt on. No bending or anything like that.
Thanks for all the interest and I'll be sure to let all of you guys know as soon as its finished. I'll also post pics too.

It attaches to the bolt release and goes near the trigger, allowing you to release the bolt with your trigger finger, in essesnce allowing you to load the gun faster during magazine changes.
