I haven't shot with the .22LR scope yet, but I can tell you that PFI's RR-CQLR-1 (1-4x28mm) is just awesome on my AR. It's illuminated, has ranging brackets, and holdover lines out to 600 yards. I hunt pigs with it so when their close, the true 1x gives me a reflex sight and when they are far, I go to 4x and range with the brackets and shoot. Since it's FFP, it's zeroed at any magnification.
Pretty simple and easy to zero. You just have to make the fine tuning adjustments at the longer ranges to get it just right for your gun when zeroing. I shot a pig at 350 yards last week and another at 200 yards a couple of days before without ever adjusting the scope. Awesome is the best word for it.
For the .22LR, I wouldn't expect it to perform any less. My buddy has the RR-17HMR and loves it. I think I will pick one of those up to hunt small varmits with the kid.
