Steel charging handle
I was wondering if they made a steel charging handle, or if one could possibly be cut down modified to fit inside the 15-22? I think the charging handle is a little flimsy......... thanks Phil

This is just an extension of the latch. The handle itself is still plastic, because it is still the original handle. I think the OP wants an entire aluminum handle like a standard AR15.
They don't exist, yet. Maybe one of the extremely talented people on this forum will make one eventually.

Anything is possible... just depends on how well you can machine it to the same specs.

I have to NEED two of these. Please PM me.
Consider trying to make the lever more flat faced like the BCM Gunfighter; it makes for a more positive face for the side of your left index finger to be used to operate.

Reason: Whoops, accidentally wrote HAVE, but meant to write NEED. Not sure what I was thinking there.

Unfortunately I have no plans to mass produce them at this time. I had posted on another forum and was told it was a bad idea because it would cause too much wear on the polymer upper. There were only about two people who were interested and said they would pay $25 tops for one. At that price its not worth my time or effort. Maybe when I finish a few other projects I'll try to make a few but the numbers would be limited.

yeah, i'd have some concerns about sliding metal on plastic myself... should get creative with the handle portion so it looks like something that isn't stock.. a little styling could increase value on handle enough to make it profitable.

The best mods should look like it came that way, there'd no need for a gaudy off the wall charging handle design.

i'm not saying gaudy and off the wall... but if it looks and functions identical then why bother.
