Reasns
No reason was stated but I'd assume a lack of interest or at least lack of sales.

My guess is lack of sales and/or regulatory (ie, legal) restrictions/issues that make it a pain in the derierre to do business.

Perhaps this will expedite the manufacturing of the new M&P 22 pistol. Lets hope so!

That's a shame. I love mine - it is really fun to shoot. On the other hand, maybe the used price will go up.

I have a fairly late serial # and haven't ran a lot of rounds through it. J-P springs, Magpul grip, tacticool's muzzle brake, magpul sights,(real ones ). I'd let it go for........

Just received e-mail from S&W and said it's still in production!, Out of all my weapons, this one I shoot the most. It's lot of fun, even with all those restrictions.

As usual, The title of this movie is,
"The Boarding House Blew Up at Noon',
or
"Roomers are flying"
I hope they continue the 15-22P, it may be just for fun, but isn't that what a large part of shooting is all about?

I have really been wanting one of these, and I was a bit concerned when I heard they were being discontinued. They are no longer on the S&W website, and I did not notice them in the 2011 catalog. But, as luck would have it, I was strolling through the local Gander Mountain today and they had one (their last) sitting in the case! Took me about a millisecond to "pull the trigger" on that purchase. I probably paid a bit too much for it, but I am betting it will be worth it. As we already have a 15-22, I have all kinds of goodies ready to strap onto the thing (with the exception of any vertical fore grip) and we are up to 13 mags now! What I really need to find is some type of soft case for it. Any suggestions are welcome.

After looking for a long time I settled on the Bulldog 25" case. Worked out fine.

Thanks for the info! I just ordered one. I can't wait (and neither can my boy) to get out and shoot this thing! I really like your configuration, nice and simple with the laser and grip.

Well i went to order my .22p and my gun shop said "no problem"!
Put 20% down and left. A few weeks later J. called and said he couldn't find one, in the distribution chain. Me and a Buddy had been out shooting all morning, and decided too go eat lunch, and have a beer.
We then went over to see what else he had, and it was one of those days. He had just got in by UPS (2)Colt Government 1911 .22LR - by Umarex USA Also (2) GSG1911-22's.
We looked them over real hard. Both of us walked out with the GSG. I know looks can deceive, but everything on the GSG looked better made than the Colt.
I am liking this trend of making classic guns in .22lr!!!
If you don't know about the 1911-22 GSG just goggle.
The GSG-1911 features the same weight and feel of a classic 1911 pistol, also with 80 percent interchangeable parts, guaranteed 5lb trigger and threaded barrel. Available with classic wood grips.
Anybody else got one?
