15-22 first s&w very pleased!!!

just bought my brand new 15-22 on monday. it is my first smith&wesson and my first .22 i own a fair amount of guns but figured it was time to get a .22.

so far i took it to the range once and put 100 rounds thru it, not one hiccup, super easy to sight in, and good accuracy up to 50 yards. i have heard this is one of the best .22 ar platforms and i am not disappointed at all.
this is probably the most fun gun i have ever shot!!!
i have a few simple plans mainly to help the looks of the gun and thats it. no scopes or fancy fore grips. just rail covers a pistol grip some paint and maybe a trigger at some point.

The 15-22 is just a "hoot to shoot", right? The hardest thing about having a 15-22 is finding the stopping point for add-ons!

But ain't it fun!

This gun might have been worse for me than others. Instead of adding on a bunch of things, this gun made me want to build my own AR15. Needless to say, I've started my build and its priced out at around $1500.

Maybe I should have just stuck with adding stuff to the 15-22....

Bought my first 15-22 when they first came out. Loved it and so did my son, his wife and daughter. Ended up giving it to them and buying my second one just about a year ago. Have to say that the 15-22 is the most fun I've ever had with a .22.

Swapped for me one a few weeks ago, have shot a 550 box of federals without any problems at all well execpt for the fact that my grandson has claimed it as his {that's who i got it for}.

We love our 15-22! Thousands of rounds and no issues. We are heading to the outdoor range this weekend to zero it with our new Simmons Whitetail Classic scope.
