Single mount sling mount
Here's a link to the sling mount I bought. $25 on Amazon. It is aluminum, and you have to file it just a tad to slide it all the way up. You also have to drill a small hole in the bottom rib for the set screw to pass through, but it locks the mount on perfectly. Also, there is enough clearance for the fingers over the mount when you pull the charging handle back.

option 1 - small piece of paracord either around the tube or through the mount that currently won't work.
option 2 - A QD socket for the ACS. This location makes the rifle hang a little lower in single-point, but would be cheap and easy.
ACS™ and ACS-L™ ACCESSORIES - Sling Mount Kit - Type 3
option 3 - ( what I would do) Get a tube mounted sling adapter like the one you mentioned. Those ones do work with the 15-22. I prefer the Troy pro grade mount because it's rotation limited, and looks smooth on the 15-22. It required a little fitting, but was worth it IMO.
These angular swivels work the best for single-point

I feel your pain, but that's why you put stuff in a vice before cutting or grinding on it.

Swivel Vacuum Vise-1850 at The Home Depot
4 in. Drill Press Vise-226340 at The Home Depot
Both are great for portable use and take very little storage room - under the bed, if nowhere else.

After looking through the box this morning, my ACS actually came w/ the QD mount, it was just hiding under the catalog and sticker. LGS had a model of the Blackhawk clamping buffer tube collar that has holes large enough to accommodate the hooks on the MS3 (Model # 71SA05BK) and Uncle Mikes QD swivels for the stock mount.
I think I'm good to go now. Thanks!

I purchased from my local gunshop a Midwest Industries 'Endplate Adaptor Loop" to fit on the buffer tube (single point attachment).
Just so I am clear, one has to remove the adjustable sliding stock to attach, but that is as simple as pulling down on the release handle to release the pin (don't push up like you do to slide the stock, pull down fully to release the pin and slide the stock free).
Now side the attachment point on and tighten with the included allen wrench. I chose model #MCTAR-13 and it looks and works great.
BTW, I also added a Magpul-RSA, front attachment point, to the front, in case I which to use a 2-point sling at some point. I attached it to the top rail and have it hanging down to the left (just behind the front fixed sight).
Below are photos of the front attachment and buffer tube attachment points on my 15-22.
I now can choose between, 1, 2 or 3 point sling set-ups depending on what I want (which I do not yet know, but I am now ready for any of them).

I wrote this elsewhere about the RSA.. my .02 cents
Do some reviews of the RSA. I have one, don't care for it. The angel of it's bend can make the sling attachment jam against the rail and you cannot always mount it close to your front BUIS - which you might want to do - as it can bind against it. Love their stuff, but not this piece so much. it really limits you to only the MS slings to some degree, I no like that limitation. Plus, it just seems rather bulky for what it does. I have DD and FAB Defense front sling mounts I think are more over-all useful.
My slings are all HK clip based, pretty universal, and I find that clip style can really bind on the rail with this mount. Even worse if you want to have it near the front of the rail near a fold down type BUIS.

I wanted a single point sling attachment like the MOE's and my 811033 didn't come with it, so I did the same thing as mrasgt and tork'd.
Fortunately, I work for a machine shop and got access to one of the Bridgeports this weekend.
((Disclaimer: Although easy to do, don't attempt this without the proper experience or equipment ))
I used Blue paint tape to prevent anything from getting in the receiver components and to protect the stock shaft from being damaged by the vise.

They are out now for the older QD hunting style and the new push button style.

My steel rear sling mount slides on the tube where needed for balance with the stocks adjustment. The front one mounts to the rail to give me a traditional sling, adjusts for weights of different capacity magazines and optics. Wears comfortable for long treks and fatigue while allowing positional changes of the firearm still giving immediate use.

I put a QD point on my quad as close to the receiver as possible, and a 'mount-n-slot' QD from LaRue (made by Impact Weapons Components) on my MOE stock so I can two point sling the weapon, action-ready for taking 'selfies' to send to Anthony Weiner.

IAS Sling
I just received my Irene Adaptive Sling (IAS) and love it. Being retired Infantry I have been through about as many types of slings as there are cans in a case (choose you fav beverage). I must say that a single point is the way to go while in "Shoot Mode", but then what to do while admin carry or switching to pistol. I have found this IAS to fill the void I have been missing. The great thing about it is I can move it from my 15-22 to my AR and everything just "Works". One must keep in mind that no two people are the same and therefore your likings may not be the same.
