Default LeVang Compensator on 15-22

I just purchased a DPMS "LEVANG Linear Compensator" ($39) and installed in on my 15-22.

My goal was to quiet (at least to my ears) the sound of the .22 firing to the point where hearing protection would be virtually unnecessary.

My state (MN) doesn't allow suppressors on firearms by the general public so options are very limited.

I'm very pleased with the result. When firing the 15-22, it is substantially quieter. Others who fired it commented on how quiet it now is from the perspective of the shooter. Since the holes are in the front, the recoil push is directly rearward.

The fit and finish are excellent (in the first picture, it is lighter in color because of the close proximity to the flash.)

Here are a couple of pictures:

It's the Bushnell TRS-25 mounted on a Blackhawk offset (11:00 o'clock position) mount perched ontop of a
UTG .82" riser.

The very inexpensive scope (wasn't sure i even wanted one on the rifle, but I like it) is mounted on a 1" riser with Leupold see thru rings.

what's the chance you could take a close up picture of the red dot and mount?

Here's a few more. You can also see how the BUIS work. I left the original sight on the front and use a folder on the rear.

I'm not sure if I'll leave things as they are. I'm still playing to see what I ultimately want.

It does't come with a crush washer. I don't remember if I bought mine from Brownell's or Midway.

Do you notice much of how it quiets the sound? Did you notice any accuracy issues?

I have only tried it on my Savage Mark II FV-SR. It opened the groups up to 1.5 inches from 1inch so I pulled it off. I didn't notice a drop in sound. I'm going to try it on my 5.56 next time I take it to the range.
