this one is a lil rare but a great shooter and yes this was my first attempt at a cammo job but it was done with textured paint

Stevens model 416 marked US Property,,, iron sights were removed and it was drilled and tapped for a scope when i got it so not much collectors value

Built this a while ago, it will put five in 1/4" @ 50 yards with match ammo. Wonder if my new 15-22 will do as well.

Beautiful 10/22; I am a little jealous.

Don't hold your breath waiting for 1/4"@ 50 yards with your 15-22, or even at 25 yards. An inch or maybe 3/4" at 50 is more like what you'll get.

Kimber stopped making .22lr rifles about 5 years ago, and if you think the plain Jane Hunter is pretty you should see a Cascade or SuperAmerica with Fancy walnut, high polished bluing, and checkered steel butt plates.

Here is my Winchester 67-22 Short that has was originally owned by my grandfather, passed to my father, to me, and one day my son





When my dad was about 12 (think '69), he decided to drill out the back of the stock so it could "hold extra bullets". Good thing he never slammed the stock down on the ground! LOL When I took ownership of it about a year ago, it still had the bullets in the holes! I really wish I kept them, some nice 40+ year old Federal Ammunition. Some fired okay when I took it to the range, a few squibs but none stuck in the barrel thankfully.

I don't have pictures of most of my .22's. Not shown below are a Marlin 39A, Marlin 60 (cheap plastic version), Marlin 60 (50th anniversary walnut version), Thompson Center Classic .22, and a Ruger Mark II with 5" heavy barrel.

I've got an early single six (3 screw) that I love shooting. Good to see someone else with a charles daly, my skeet gun is an old daly muroku over under 20 gauge that was my grandfathers. Basically a browning citori

My son has an old 3-screw single six, but it's a little rough. Still a good shooter, though.

The construction of the Charles Daly bolt .22 is really neat. It just feels like an old gun. The wood is oiled walnut not high polished, etc. I like it. It was built by Zastava.

Love it. I've really been thinking about picking one of those up. I was trying to get the new limited nickel plated one but I missed out so I think I'm gonna just get the standard black one.

We all love our 15-22s, but what is everybody favorite .22 other than the 15-22?

For me, it's my Ruger 22-45 Lite.

I absolutely love my 10/22. I've done a few mods on it already. I got the trigger pull nice, smooth and light. I'm thinking of getting a bull barrel for it sometime in the near future. I'm making this rifle my precision rifle. And the 15/22 I just have a reflex sight on it. I've seen those 22-45 Lite. Nice looking gun.

I put a volquartsen hammer, sear, and extractor in mine (22-45). A little over 2 lbs trigger pull and zero malfunctions other than the occasional bad primer.

That's easy. The two I inherited from my parents. My dad's Colt Woodsman (Series III) and my mom's Ruger Super Single Six.

I keep a couple non S&Ws' in the safe for added weight!!

I also put a Volquartsen hammer in my 10/22. I would like to eventually put a Volquartsen sear in my rifle. But for now I polished the sear, disconnect, and I put a Volquartsen trigger. I'm a little hesitant about getting a Volquartsen sear. I've heard some guys say that it wasn't worth it and all I should do is replace the hammer.
Do you feel that changing out the sear made a significant change?

Hard one to answer as I own a few 22s. I guess I will have to go with my old reliable Taurus 990 tracker 6.5 incher. Accurate and fun to shoot.

There are other .22's besides the 15-22?
Kidding. The one in my hands is my favorite at the time. What can I say...I'm an addict and I don't want any help. Other than going out shooting more.

One of my favorites is a Ruger 10-22 dressed up like a M1 Carbine, it's actually more accurate in this stock.

I put in the sear and hammer in at the same time, together they work well. I put in the exact edge extractor because I would have maybe 1 or 2 stove pipes per 100 shots with federal bulk. I have had zero stove pipes after the extractor.

I like the look of that, although you need to "season" the wood a little to make it look more like your M-1.

The Winchester 9422 is an awesome rimfire. It was my first real gun and I still have it. Bought it at Woolworth's on lay-away when I was 16. I have a few of them now and was very sad when they stopped making them.

Doubt this topic will stay around very long. It isn't about 15/22's.

But this is my favorite .22 at the moment.....

this! its my only other .22 but i love it. swapped grips, upgraded zrts cone/guide rod/spring/plug, cheap flat msh and just got a new dawson fiber optic front sight.

I was just curious what other .22s everyone love. So far this has not become an argument over what gun is the best or anything like that. It is just a friendly discussion about what we all like shooting with our 15-22s. I It is not like we are discussing football or trucks.

I will say I have enjoyed the pictures of some beautiful guns from you guys.

Heres mine

Favorite 22. I have two, the first is a S & W model 41. It has a 7 plus inch bbl with a comp. Its old probably made in the 1960's. It puts all the bullets in one hole. The second 22 that I am attached too, is a Winchester model 75 that I received as a birthday present in 1956. My son and I both won a lot of matches with it and in a few years my Grandson will too. Both are beautiful guns.

Well, this is certainly related to the 15-22 as it is about .22's /other/ than the 15-22. If it were moved, then it would include the 15-22, which would make it off topic.

Old footballs and toy trucks - more great things to shoot at with out 15-22s!!! The kind of toy truck with a motor in it works best - a moving target!!!!

Side note, does it bother anyone else to see pictures of guns with the safties off? Hopefully and most likely they are unloaded, but seeing that sets off a red flag in my brain.

Pray tell what's bad about a safety being off?

Mostly when I take pictures of my guns they are unloaded because I've just cleaned them. There isn't even a mag in my .22.

But 99% of the time they are just lying on a flat surface. Keep your finger off the trigger until ready to fire and all that. My Glock gets pictures taken of it all the time, loaded and unloaded.......
