Thanx for the info I have the same unit, however I am looking for a "mount" that goes on and attaches to the tube that the rear stock slides on to.

If anyone has an idea for me I would be most appreciative and grateful.

My dilemma is as such: I have a compliant version 15-22, which came 10 round mag and pinned, fully extended stock. (As NJ does not allow more than 15 rounds in a firearm, but no one cares about us so they really don't make 15 round mags, they make 30 for the USA, or 10 rds for CA/NY and we NJ's can just make do with the 10 rd'ers - also , absolutely no adjusting of the stock. Forwards, backwards, side-to-side, diagonal- can't do it. Has to be fully "permanently" pinned. " )

So anyway I got to Magpul'ing my 15-22 all up and decided, I can live without the stock upgrade. I mean what is the point anyway, it's not going to do anything but LOOK better. Honesty, exactly, only will LOOK cooler. That's all.

About 10 seconds later I was placing an order for the MOE Stock. Cause damn right it needs to look cooler.

When it came in I said, Ok, don't be an idiot. Wait for a trip to the gunsmith to figure out how this whole deal works, you're a n00b st00pid.. Let him do it and just pay him what it costs to remove the standard cheap0 M4 Stock, put the MOE Stock on and pin it.

About 10 seconds later I was using hand tools to bash, pry, cut, pry some more, a little more bashing, and finally pry the M4 Stock off and expose the receiver extension AKA Buffer Tube which I didn't realize was as flimsy as it is, almost took it off. But. Now I can install the MOE STocK! BUT! if it's adjustable on the weapon in NJ and you get caught you get jail time, that's how bad we are. I mean if something happened RANDOMLY like a comet fell through the roof, and the inspection team sees an adjustable stock on a .22, go to jail while we worry about the comet. So I figured, it needs to be pinned, I am not really concerned with "un-pinning" a permanent roll pin drilled in in the odd chance I make it out of this state, so I just did what I thought was best-

I used a brand new tube of Super Glue on the receiver extension and installed the stock, and put it all the way closed. Worked like a CHARM. Just to be safe, I used a decent amount of Blue loc-tite on the locking mechanism, so it can't even actuate now. So IF some LEO/etc. was like, Permanent didn't SAY "pinned" but we are now saying it NEEDS Pinned, my stock is actually much more permanently stuck shut than anyone with a roll pin drilled in there (The common solution, i in fact have this done on the 5.56 with the CTR Stock).

The big problem is I of course didn't even CONSIDER A Single point sling mounting plate. And there is about no way to get one on at this point.

I have been told there is one designed for LEOs and MIL that "aren't allowed" to either use a single point sling or modify their firearm and it screws on, but it looks like it needs to be screwed onto the receiver extension and not the actual 'receiver' where mine would need to be, as my stock is flush with the receiver. So I don't want to drop that money if it's not going to fit. The other thing, I heard there is now a device to attach to a MOE Stock, that will then accept a sling swivel. But then this also can be an expensive solution, $50 for the stock piece, then however much for a quality QD Sling Swivel, and it's not exactly single point sling IDEAL but might be my only option.

Anyone with a mount that would work without removing the stock from the extension , fire away please, much appreciated.

Here ya go.
MOE BUTTSTOCK OWNERS!!! NEW!!! IWC's QD Rotation Limited MOUNT-N-SLOT - AR15.COM

It should work well with the stock fully closed. If it was fully extended, you would probably be dragging your barrel on the ground.

I suggest this angular qd swivel for single point. It works well for me.
Sling Swivels | Sling Mounts | QD Sling Swivel and Mount

That puts you at about $55 shipped for sling attachments.

Hindsight is always 20/20, but I would have gone with the CTR stock. It has a built in QD socket a little further up.

The S&W M&P 811033 comes with a swivel mount on the buffer tube where it attaches to the upper reciever. But they do make one that can be wrapped around the buffer tube. Brownell has one I think, I've seen it and it may fit, here's the link:

Gopher and Ace thank you very very much. Now I'll have to get one of those.

As for the hindsight, of course you're right. Now as I said after the MOE on the 15-22, I went CTR on my 5.56 AR I got about 6 mo after.

What is REALLY nice is the ACS. Literally, THE DAY BEFORE I got the money for the ACS Stock and a kit for it (my AR came with an A2 stock so I needed a 'kit' with new ext, spring, buffer, etc.) the store I was looking at TOOK OFF SALE the ACS Stock and kit and put on the CTR stock and kit, but it was such a great deal, like a little bit more than a basic MOE but the CTR and entire kit, I just went with it for like $70 instead of like $140+ for the ACS and kit. CTR is real nice stock.

I noticed on the MOE S&W M&P 15/22 they have built into the rear of the lover receiver a quick release swivel. I found on Amazon a swivel kit that contains,(2 swivel cups and 1 quick connect) for $12. You can drill out the lower receiver with a 1/2" bit and glue in the two cups, one on each side, then you can attach the single point to that. I plan on doing just that when my M&P 15/22 finds it way to my little hands this 9th of Nov.... can't wait..

I used a single point sling for a while and it worked fine.
Later I started using a rifle scabbard strapped to my back,
it was the perfict solution for me. I can just reach up and pull
the rifle out with one hand. What I like best is with the rifle
in the scabbard, both my hands are free and the rifle is
not only out of the way, but protected as well. At TacticalTed.com (page 6 of soft tactical gear)
there is a picture of a guy wearing one. Just a thought.

Slings and attachments. What a problem!!! I need help on these as well!!!

I grew up shooting with leather slings. The kind that you wrap around your arm for a more secure hold. These were two point attachments, as that was all there was at the time.

I would like some suggestions for this type of set up!!! Cost not being a factor. Plus I like carrying a rifle on my shoulder.
MY 15-22 has an attachment on the butt stock, so I probabily need something for the rail, and a sling recommendation???

I also have a combat shotgun that has this two point system. Would also like suggestions on a sling for it.

I haved looked around of course. But don't want too spend twice.

Thanks,
Guy22

There is another way, you can purchase a quick release kit on amazon, drill out 1/2" hole on left & right side of the lower receiver, glue the caps in and you have a quick release sling contact point. Just like the MOE S&W 15/22. I"m doing that when I pick up my M&P this 9th.

I just got my MOE about three weeks ago. It has the QD swivel mount on the back side of the receiver. But I'm lookin to put a two point sling on. There is a little hole at the bottom of the stock that I would like to attach a sling there. I'm not sure however what sling attachment I can use there.

I just ordered a 15-22 from Buds Police Supply ($368). I carry Bushmaster patrol carbine on duty and was looking for an inexpensive way to get in some additional training. In order to keep the 15-22 as close to the Bushmaster in "feel" and operation, I want to attach a single point sling behind the receiver. Can I get a definitive answer on whether or not a standard AR type single point sling mount will mount at the junction of the buffer tube/receiver?

I can definitely say that the Midwest Industries MCTAR sling adapters work with the 15-22. I have the MCTAR-30 (QD swivel) on mine; simply remove the stock and slide the adapter over the tube - allen bolt keeps it secured in place.

What's a standard AR single point mount? Obviously the plates won't work because there isn't a nut on the tube.

I didn't know that. If the diameter is the same (apparently it is), then I will go with the "slide over"/allen wrench type suggested by Bluelizard

Thanks
