22LR obsession...
Long time reader and lurker here. It's funny how the "Tacticool" bug bite works isn't it? It all started almost a year ago when I couldn't make up my mind between the M&P 15-22 or the Sig 522. The "better" half okay'd only one of them, but a promotion at work and the constant simple statement of "its only a 22 babe!" didn't hurt my case with her either.
So I broke down... and got both! Not even a week went by after bringing them home and like rabbits little brown packages would multiply and continue to show up several times a month at our doorstep. Fast forward a couple months and I felt the need to get a pistol to match my "Zombie Kit" (as she so kindly refers to it) and I picked up a Walther P22. You could imagine what i did to that poor little pistol...
Enjoy the pictures!

I have had the ".22lr bug" for many years. My wife just rolls her eyes at me, at this point.
Check out some GSG stuff, and make your wife proud.
Although I never have bought a gun for investment. I will say most of the ones I have, have doubled or more in value.

Your obsession will lead to S&W 41, 46 and lots of other fine, expensive 22LR units. Then, 22WMR bug will slap you upside your head...

Smith and Wesson Mod. M & P 22 pistol question
Has anyone seen the new .22 pistol fashioned after the M & P line yet. I've heard they are actually made by Walther.
Which begs another question. Even though I live in Maine, can anyone tell me what Smith now does in the Houlton, Maine location?
In the past I've heard they repaired pistols such as the model 41, but can anyone tell me what they currently do?
thanks

how do you like the red dot on your pistol? I mentioned several times with old eyes and bifocals (well actually variables) it is painful to try to see the sights and the target. others have said to try a red dot , wondering how it works for you.

Red dots are great for weary eyes. My eyes are so weary that I usually need magnification... I've got 2 22LR pistols with red dots and both are extremely fun and accurate.

I completely agree with DesertFox about the red dot on the pistol. Its much easier to acquire the target and it allows the shooter to keep both eyes open. And you could never have enough mags!
Happy shooting guys!
