MP15-22 PISTOL picture thread. Where's the 22P love?!?
Let's see some 15-22P pics. No more of this searching through 200 plus pages to see some 22Ps. Let's post them in here.
The Easiest and most economical way to sbr a 15-22. All I need is a form 1, buffer tube and stock.

Fun lil' critter. Got me interested in getting back into the game. Expensive though. Cost me a new MOE rifle, PC rifle(for sale) and a new MP15 Sporter to get caught up.

50 round group??? That's not a group; that's a whole choir, maybe even a full orchestra!!!
I have to ask; how long did it take to drop the 50 rounds that tightly? Slow fire, or moderate fire?

It didn't take long - maybe 5 minutes.
Gotta confess though, that's my wife's group, not mine. Even with the laser I cannot shoot it that well. Don't mess with her when she's got that baby in her hands!

Well, when I bought it, it was $400 all up. I already had the holosight and Harris bi-pod.
BTW, S&W doesn't make them any more. Too bad 'cause it's a hoot to shoot! I've added a green laser since the pic.

That's a shame. AR-15, AK and soon FAL pistols are currently sold in shops, though. Wonder why the 15-22P wouldn't be .

'cause a black pistol looks scary. I swear, that's basically the reason they use.
That pistol is a very fun looking little machine!!

I guess saying they're scary is better than telling you the truth that it's cuz there slowly and incrementally taking your freedoms away until you no longer have any. That's what's scary.

Good lookin family
Did you add a regular hand guard to your mp pistol? Looks like you took one of a mp rifle and added it to your pistol. What muzzle break is that?

Loving it. Got one of the Pink Platinums here but must find a M&P15-22 pistol!
After reading this, I was able to go out and find a 6" one today! I think I'll try to grab a camo or another version of the carbine to round out my M&P15-22 selection and then pick up a M&P-15 in 5.45x39...

USAF1980,
I am still waiting on the BATFE to see fit to finish my paperwork on a Gemtech Outback IID suppressor. I got a hold of a rifle hand guard and trimmed it down to about 2/3. In that photo the pistol has a Gemtech solid/fake can. The new custom length handguard allows for only the last two inches of the suppressor to extend beyond. When I swap the real can back and forth I will put the fake one on the pistol to maintain the muzzle beyond the limits of the handguard.

Very cool!
Me personally, I like things that go bang! so no suppressors for me. I do have my forms ready for SBR though.

Just picked up one of these tonight. Found one in stock locally :b I'm still very new to firearms. Saw this and immediately wanted one. 48 hour waiting period before I can pick it up blows. Any suggestions as to how to dress it up? I see that a lot of people change the sights. Recommendations for a good red dot sight? I will most likely eventually get one of the rifle versions as well. Excited :b

Hahah, yup! It gives us law abiding criminals a cool off period in case we catch our girlfriends cheating on us or something dumb like that Regardless if we have other firearms already.
You also have to wait 30 days in between handgun purchases unless your doing a private party transfer.

I got mine about a year ago, great pistol. I just found out Sunday that S&W stopped making these. To bad, I love mine. I picked up the M&P .22 sunday and now have all 3.
The siblings
The new addition to the S&W.22 family

Well I took my cracked handguard off my rifle and cut it down to put on my pistol so. Im just going for a different look basically. The hand guard will go from 4 inches to 6 1/4 inches.
Just used a small hand saw and measured the tape line 100 times lol
If you want the hand guard end to be perfectly flat, this is the method for sanding it. Sand paper on flat surface equals flat HG end.
Then hit it with a polish wheel to match the shine on the rest of the hand guard
This is what it will look like once i get my barrel nut off.
comparing the muzzle brake to the a2
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well this was my first attempt at this. Like always, its far from perfect but the best I can do. I basically took out the soldering iron and taped off what I didn't want to stipple and tried to overlap each poke at a time while adding bigger grip holes in key areas.
I also took down the two humps on the grip with a dremel tool and sanded them down. I just didn't like the feel of them due to my middle finger laying on top of the top hump while actively shooting.

Love the AOW. I guess at some point I'll do the paperwork to add a fore grip to my M&P 15-22P. I am sure that it is easier to shoot with the grip. Anyone know if the stamp transfers to the new owner if the gun is sold?

Your form 1 stamp does not transfer. If you sell it as an AOW, the buyer gets a new form 4 stamp in their name. Transferring an AOW is a $5 ATF stamp.
What would be most difficult about that sale is that the buyer would have to wait for the stamp before they can take possession (currently ~6 months). Also when you originally form 1 your AOW, you need to engrave it with your name or trust/LLC name as the builder of the AOW.
So you have to find the right buyer who's willing to wait and doesn't mind your info engraved on the receiver.
I don't typically sell my guns, so the complications of a future sale didn't factor into my decision.
