Default Need a small case

I ride a motorcycle and need a small case to carry the 15-22. I intend to separate the upper from the lower allowing the gun to fit into a smaller case. Does anyone know what the length is for just the upper? It is the longest half and will determine the case size.

Wish I could help ya out, but if you or anyone you know are in the market for a cheap (quality) scope there's one for sale in the classified section of the forums.

Happy Shooting

it doesn't get much smaller than this. i have 2 of these cases.
Bulldog Cases Ultra Compact In. AR-15 Discreet Carry Rifle Case 29 In. - Navy Blue. BD475. Bulldog Cases Holsters.

my only complaint is there are only 2 mag holders. i have thought about get more sewn in.

Not exactly sure if this would be something your looking for. I personally dont like carrying around a gun case because people would know you have a gun. this bag is discreet and can hold a broke down ar 15.

I don't know the length of it, but it certainly looks like a gun case.

to people who know guns. If I had seen that case 5 years ago, not being an owner of rifle or knowing anyone with a rifle and having never purchased or looked for cases, I wouldn't have given it a second look.

Are you carrying it in a saddlebag or tourpac, or strapped onto a luggage rack?

if you want to be that discreet, look into Wilson tennis racket bags.

Ok,if anyone is interested the upper receiver by itself measures 20" so a tennis bag works great for being discreet.

I was a professional photographer for many years. Hardcore amateur photogs travel or run around proudly displaying their expensive gear in high end cases proudly letting every thief in sight know it is an expensive target. Professionals disguise it for that reason. Buy the soft case and sew a bunch of stupid patches on it. “Save a manatee” or “vote democratic” and your done. It is no longer a gun case.

Not sure what receiver Rundover measured , but the M&P15-22 upper receiver with M16A1 flash suppressor measures 24" not 20". 22.7" for the plain muzzle version.

Oops, you are correct. The upper is 24" long. I think I was thinking feet when I typed inches. Still it fits in a tennis bag just fine which will be discreet enough for me.
