Default Red Dot Magnifiers

I was lucky enough to get an mp 15-22 A1 for x-mas, I also picked up a bushnell trs-25 red dot togo along with it. I would like to see if anyone has paired up a FTS magnifier to pair up with the trs-25. I'm not sure if it's possible but primary arms offers a few different ones and mounts. Unless it would be better to just get a scope togo along with the red dot. Does anyone have any ideas on what would work or what would be best?

Thanks!

The magnifiers reduce your field of vision plus also manify the size of the red dot. I am planing on getting a separate Nikon 4x scope for $99. There are mounts that allow you to have the telescopic sight on top and your red dot off to the side so for close shots you just rotate your rifle a little bit and now have your red dot in front of your eye. However, since this is a .22 I see no tactical or defense use for it unless you have nothing else to use so swapping scopes makes more sense and would be cheaper.

logic dictates that it would also magnify the target's size... so the scale would remain the same with a magnified dot.

Default 3x Magnification works...plain and simple.

Here is a quick video of my MOE with a UTG 3x magnifier....have to say it is a great addition. It can be focused to ensure the red dot remains clears but it definitely pulls the target in close. I say go for it with a FTS mount so you can enjoy the best of both sight options with a quick flip to the right.

This is my LWRC M6-SL setup.

(Painted the grip in the last photo.)

Note the Aimpoint twist mount requires this much distance between the telescope and sight body (in this case the Aimpoint CompM4S) to twist off/on. Telescope comes completely off the rifle when not needed.

The dot remains 2moa, even under magnification.

TacticalTom...did the UTG 3X need any special risers? The one I found online had a FTS mount already included for about $79...

Thanks!

No riser will (probably) be needed for any magnifier mount as most of them (including the FTS models) are set at the high riser 1" height. Which along with the PA Micro sitting on a 1" riser works perfectly.

thanks for the info...i have the bushnell trs-25 red dot that i'm going to put on a UTG 1" riser to co-witness with my iron sights....so i think the UTG 3x magnifier should line up as well.

My Aimpoint 3x magnifier does not line up properly with my EoTech 553 sight. Not had time to determine why as yet. I can see the reticule but it's not centered in the field of view. Gotta play with it some more.
