Default Feed ramp

I noticed last night that the feed ramp is not particularly smooth. I am used to polished feed ramps on just about all my semi-autos, both pistol and rifle.

Has anyone polished the ramp and did it make any particular difference?

I've always been told, whatever is working, don't fix it or touch it. I left mine alone as its working just fine.

IF it works, leave it alone, keep shooting rounds thru it, that helps smooths things out, if you run your pinky and it appears rough, then you can run some emery cloth over it and knock off the rough spots it any. But as others have said, "if it works, leave it alone"..

That entire piece is made from MIM (Metal Injection Molding) and is kind of porous.

Thanks, all. It's just strange, having a semi-auto with a dull feed ramp.

My grandson and I went through 500 rounds Monday with no problems, so I guess it ain't broke.
