A Few Questions from a New 15-22 Owner
1. Mine is a compliant model (I'm in NY) and the stock is pinned. Looks like If I drill out the pin that's all I have to do since the adjusting bar is intact. Will it work then?
2. The 10 round mag does not have a loading assist button. Is that somewthing I can add?
3. The SN is DWH 2xxx. Anybody know when it was manufactured?
Thanks again to all.

Taking the pin out of your stock will make it work, but you better pin it again. As far as I know having an adjustable stock is illegal in NY.

Its not fair that you can have a Ruger mini 14 .223 (assault weapon?) oh sorry its called a ranch rifle.... but an adjustable stock, pistolgrip, and a threaded barrel with a flash hider makes a .22lr illegal makes you wonder what our governing bodies are thinking

No. It makes you wonder who put the bozos in office. They have no one to blame but themselves. You might be better moving to a state that is less communistic.

Postings on this Forum is for informational purposes only. In no way does anything here serve as legal advice.
Some of the worst legal thinking and advice I have ever read has been on Internet forums. If you want to know how a screw comes out that's fine. Whether or not it is legal in your state, county or city is up to you to know. Nor is this a place for legal discussion.

Let me get this straight, if you remove the pin, the stock is fully adjustable without having to buy another one?
I live in California not in NY.

For #2: "D I Y" Follower Button for 15-22 "10/25" Mags!!!
I did this to my 4 10-rd mags. They are great! Too bad there aren't black nylon, though. I used 10-24x3/4" nuts since 10-32 (threads/inch) are hard to find.

Thanks for the information. I am getting the Camo version in a couple of days because the black CA version was not available from my local gun shop. I was told that it was a pinned version, but I didn't care and ordered it anyway. I guess that getting the pin out will be the first upgrade that my rifle will see.
As for all of these stupid laws...they are beyond stupid and make no sense. I didn't buy my first gun until about 3 years ago and until then, I was oblivious to all of the crazy gun laws in California. If a criminal wants a gun, he'll get it with whatever gun stock or magazine he wants, and I bet he won't be worried about the DROSS process.
