Default First time poster, long time lurker

Hi all.

After much waiting and saving, I finally brought home my MOE edition. I had a bunch of gift cards to the sporting goods store saved up, and when I went to go get it, they were out. So I had them transfer one from another store and it came in yesterday, so I went on my break from school to pick it up. I had already ordered some stuff for it (AFG2, TRS25, sling) so I put those on when I got it home. I haven't had the chance to try it out, but hopefully soon, I'll have the opportunity. I'm looking forward to learning a lot here. Thanks in advance to all the help and advice everyone gives in the future.

Looks great! I just ordered mine from Bud's Gun Shop and the status looks like it will be shipping this week. Man, I hate waiting, but the price was better than I could find locally.

Thanks for the welcomes.

This is my first foray into the AR platform. Like many others I've seen on here, this is going to be my "practice" for a real AR that I'll get down the road. There are so many options out there now that I'm going to have to do some serious research before I settle down on caliber, brand, glass, etc. But until then, this will be my learning tool.

I still have a few things left to do to this before I'm done (I know, I know.... you're never "done" with these things, are you? ) like rail covers, maybe a trigger, possibly a sound suppressor down the road. As for the red dot, I didn't know if there's a certain position it needs to go, but I stuck it where it looked 'right' and lo and behold, it co-witnesses perfectly with the MBUS. As soon as I get to the range, I'll see if anything needs tweaking.
