magazine button

i just picked up my rifle tonight and the magazine does not have a loading assist button on the magazine.the book shows the magazine with the button but mine did not have it can i add one and where would i get it? going to call s&w in the morning and ask them but i thought the magazine should have the assist button installed unless that is another restriction they are doing in ca. didnt notice it when i looked at the rifle in the store.

you have the long 10 round magazine with the blue follower? then yeah, they don't come with the button. the 25 round magazine and the short 10 rounders do.

you can try calling S&W. i am not sure if they will give you some. ebay sells the buttons:

The ten round long magazine does not have a load assist button.

It is a California Compliant gun... shipped that way!!!!

25 round mag with a blue follower and blocked internally to hold only 10 rounds... and NO mag loading button...
