Default Shoo-Wrenches still available?

I visited shooboy's website - can't seem to find a place to buy a Shoo-wrench.

Bought some 1" PVC pipe tonight - followed the PVC-wrench instructions here in the thread. Tried to install the PVC wrench, and found out that it won't fit!!

Yep. I can get it about half-way down the throat of hand guard, and it locks up. Apparently, Smith and Wesson either intentionally or unintentionally is now making the inside of the hand guard with a taper such that a 1" PVC pipe won't fit down inside.

Put my PVC wrench on the belt sander for 15 minutes, and sanded in a healthy taper. I'm getting to a very thin-wall condition, and the PVC pipe still won't touch the nut - although I can get all the way down to within about a half-inch of touching it.

I can already see that there won't be any PVC pipe left when I get the taper down far enough to touch the nut.

I'd like to buy a Shoo-wrench....! Just cant figure out how to contact Shoo....

S&W M&P 15-22 "SHOOWRENCH" BARREL WRENCH - Brownells

ps. For the DYI PVC wrench you need 3/4'' ID, not 1".

I just sent him a PM here on the forum. I do agree that ordering from Brownells is faster; it took about three weeks to get mine direct.

BTW, the original Shoo-wrench won't work with the PC 15-22 unless you take out the nylon insert in the wrench. No biggee but thought I'd mention it.

Hi guys, You can still order from me but I don't usually have wrenches in stock as most of them are shipped to Brownells for resale. I do need to let Brownells know that the Shoowrench will not work with the Performance Center model of the 15-22. I'm not on the Forum much lately as time for me has become a real issue but I'll make more of an effort to check my PM's here more often. Thanks as always, Shoo
