Ya it was surprisingly very easy. I used my Break Free and a lil cloth to wipe it off. My buddy did his Mini14 last night and used his saliva and shirt, sick yes I know. With this crayon knowledge I about to go thru all my guns and see what I can color ha.

I HAVE DONE THAT WITH EMBOSSED REAR SIGHT BLADES. [RUGER MK. II ] etc. YOUR style of customization works for your purpose.

Watch it melt and run while laying in direct sunlight or when the gun warms up from firing.

Are you speaking from experience? This hasn't happened to me…
I also used crayon on my glock 36 slide which I use for EDC. It has held up fine, but I will probably redo that in a lacquer paint. I just wanted to how it would look 1st.

Who cares, it was a 3 minute job, I'll simply wipe and re-apply

I went to Michaels Craft store and bought a small bottle of Neon orange paint. I applied it with a q-tip. It took several coats because I smeared it all over the stamped area and after a couple minutes I wiped it clean with a cloth. That caused some paint to come out of the recessed areas so it took several coats. After it dried I put some fingernail clear over it. I just have too much time on my hands. I have some of those q-tips lying on my desk, I'm going to go clean out my dog's ears.

Many thousands of rounds through mine.. It's sat out in the sun as well. Never had an issue with the Tacti-Crayola(tm) melting.

So I have seen this done a ton of times on many different guns, but I never looked into the process.... do you just rub the crayon across the letters and then wipe off the extra? Or is it a heat / melting process that you use? I just started getting some OD Green accessories for mine to dress it up and match my OD Green XD - and I think some crayon would be cool too.
