Wanted to thank this little community for all the info and links on the trigger. While I will probably look into springs at some point, I felt the easiest first step was to polish out the sear points.
While I can't say with "numbers" how smooth this feels, you'll have to take my word for it, it does feel a bit smoother. The break is as crisp as before.
In the final analysis, I still believe it can be a bit more smoother at the expense of smoothing off the remaining machining marks on both sears, but particularly on the hammer side.

I added a little lithium grease to the sears contact points. So far, it feels good.
