Default New member with a new gun

Hello. I just picked up my S&W M&P 15-22 yesterday. Traded my S&W 22A in for it. So far I did the crayon coloring and ordered a set of rail covers. I cant wait to shoot it on Sat and get more accessories for the gun.

Welcome to the club! Good luck restraining yourself from spending a boat load of $ on goodies. You will need more mags and plenty of ammo and I strongly recommend 44mag.com for your mags.

Stay safe and have fun!

Yea I want more mags. I will be moving to California in a few weeks so I cant really buy the 25 rounders. Unless I verify that I can install the restrictor on tacticool22.com and still be legal

44mag has the 10 rounders too, just not sure of the price cause i bought the 25 ones. 44mag has pretty much the best price on mags though, and I have looked at a lot of different sites. botachtactical.com is a really great site too but a lot of the popular stuff is backordered a lot and you don't find out for a couple of days after you made the purchase. 44mag states on the page how many they have.

44Mag has the 10 rounders, which is what I needed here in Mass, and they're 15.99 with $5 flat shipping... came very quickly too.

Thanks everyone. I found that i can install the 10 round restrictors in my 25 round magazine and still be california compliant. Looks like ill be ordering a few more 25 rounder and 2 short 10 rounders. Does anyone know if the AR-15 magazine clamps work on these mags?

What do you guys reccomend for a really good grip? I have been holding this one a lot and it doesnt feel that good.

Seems most of the guys like the Hoge. I tried one, but seems the finger spaces ore a little too far apart for me, so at this point I am still using the original. Wondering how a slip on sleeve might do.

I'm a revolver guy, but I got a really good deal on one of those at a gun show a month or so and couldn't resist. That sucker is just WAY too much fun. I've only put 50 rounds through it but I gotta get out again soon. Best part is my son, who is 18, saw it and thought it was way cool. Maybe now he'll think I'M cool too. (Prolly not).
One thing about the 25 round magazines. If you get some you'll feel an irresistible urge to go rob a convenience store and shoot 25 people. At least that's what I've heard from Sarah Brady.

G & R Tactical is fairly reasonable and shipping was ok. I got a couple 25 rounders there. Shipped quickly.

Congrats! Sounds like you're planning on having some fun with it. I sure as hell wouldn't want to be a tin can in YOUR neighborhood right now...

I was looking at the hogue and also the CCA with the different pads.

I started shooting hockey pucks with my pistol and will probably pull it back out this weekend and see if i can go through.

If you don't like the Hogue try the Ergo instead. I have converted all my AR type rifles to the Ergo grips. I tried a slip on sleeve since I have a couple and took it off after one match.

congrats on getting a great weapon, don't forget that CA also has a weird regulation on the mag button you may have to change that also to be compliant. I don't know about a flash suppressor.
