Default m&p 1522

Going to buy a 1522 looking at 811033 vs. 811034 can anyone tell me the advantage to the MOE stock/magpul sights? That and swivel sling attachment seem to be the only differences are these worth the $60/70 price difference I am finding in the two models? I plan to put a dot scope on.

On a personal level, I have never cared for the MBUS sights. I much prefer the Troy BUIS, but they cost more than double.

However, on the MOE you also get the MOE pistol grip which I love, and the MOE buttstock which is pretty great as well. These two things are definitely worth the $70 price difference. Plus, if you decide you would rather have something else, you can sell the sights/stock/grip and make the $70 easily.

No advantage at all, just personal preference. If you want that Magpul stuff to begin with, it's a very nice value as if you buy the standard and buy the exact same parts, it'll be more expensive that way. The backup sights will be a good convenience if you want an optic up top & want the option of not co-witnessing them. I like that the MOE has the swivel at the rear.

Other than the obvious that MBUS can be flipped down, what I like most about MBUS is that they are a perfect compliment to the light weight of the 15-22. The factory front and rear sights weigh nearly a half pound. MBUS sights weigh only 2.5oz (1.2oz front 1.3oz rear). The combined weight of MBUS and my Primary Arms MicroDot are about the same as just the factory sights alone. The advantage of the factory rear sight is that it's adjustable for elevation.
