So you are telling me that you can take your 15-22 that has sat all night, then you can take a 50 round box of CCI blazer's & put all 50 rounds in a 2" circle @ 50 yards (bench rested of course)?
Mine will and its one of the first ones produced when they first came out and its never been to S&W for anything. However it is picky about what ammo I shoot .
My brother has one of the first with the new springs and such and its just as good as mine. Yes I think we both got lucky and I wouldnt buy another one because of the risk of getting stuck with a bad gun that they wont fix.

True shooter, you don't need to prove to me anything. I don't care how you shoot. If your goin to post your shooting ability then prove it by winning a match. The only way, in my opinion, to prove your shooting ability to me is by competing against other good shooters and being consistent enough to come out on top. Sayin that you shoot 1/4" groups in your back yard means nothing. Do it under pressure with time restraints and specific rules. Do it when others are watching. Do it under less then ideal conditions. Unless you have been out on the line then you don't have any credibility. Being forced to squeeze the trigger when the wind is blowing, rounds goin off to the left and right and the sun in your face and you hit black time after time then some will believe your prowess.

Just incase your wondering snipers shoot there own compitions, no trophy's, but they know it's under PRESSURE when the real shooters shine.

I am not saying that you can't shoot just don't tell us you can without being able to back up your statement. Don't tell me you can bench 500lbs when no one is lookin, do it in front of me and I will shake your hand and tell you your great. Now go into your office and poke some holes in a target and post your awesome group so we can be in awe of your hathcock like performance.

I wish there was competition shooting where I live I heard the local gun range is thinking about starting one up for AR's if so I told them to sign me up .

It is fun to shoot against people that happen to show up at the range but there is nothing like a good competitive match against good shooters

you said it yourself tiger, I dont have to prove anything to you. I really couldn't care less weather or not you or anybody else believe that I am a good shooter. I also don't really give a darn wether or not you are a good shooter. thank you for the info on the sniper comps. I wasn't curious but thanks anyway. now move along, because you don't rate the right to tell me to "shoot under pressure with time restraints and specific rules", you dont rate the right to "shake my hand and tell me i'm great" and you sure as hell dont rate the right to tell me to "go into my office and poke some holes in a target"

Ammo Dog 2311 There is a very descriptive post on the forum about last round bolt hold. Trim the catch release spring a bit and you won't have any trouble.
MAD FALCON S&W has a lifetime warranty. So if your barrel gets worn out from so much shooting, send it back for a new barrel.

It's virtually impossible to wear out a .22 LR barrel. When you have 100k plus rounds through it, you might have a concern. I have a High Standard match pistol with something around 50k through it and it still shoots 10 rounds under 1" at 25 yards from a machine rest.

Hmmm Yeah I dont think S&W will replace a barrel from normal wear and tear but I could be wrong .

I bought my M&P 15-22 a month ago. S/N DWH xxxx. I picked it up the day before a camping trip to mountains. I didn't have time to go through it before taking it out. I put on my Burris Fastfire red dot. We put some targets out about 50yds. I couldn't even come close to hitting them. I am talking feet off target not inches. My brother shot the gun, my son shot the gun, they handed it back and said, "wow what a p.o.s.". I put it back in the case and didn't bother taking it out the remainder of the weekend. I got it out this weekend to clean it and go to the range. When I started to clean it, I couldn't get the bore snake through barrel. After further inspection, the barrel was complete gnarled mess about half way back. I guess I am lucky it didn't blow up in my face when I shot it. I sent it back to the factory yesterday and hopefully S&W will replace the barrel. Obviously, every barrel is going to be manufactured a little different. Hell, mine got sent out after an obvious manufacture defect. So, it does not surprise me to hear how different the accuracy is with everyone's guns. I am not real impressed with S&W quality control.
