Advice welcome!
So went to the range today to site in the new scope I purchased. It is the Center Point 3-9x32 RG, bought at Dick's but same as the Wally World one. So the 3 colored targets are my first 3 mags from 100yd, sitting at a table using bag under rail for support. The 5in circle was my last mag of the day. This one had the some support under the stock as well. There were several other targets used but not pictured. 2 guys showed up at the range, who one of the range employees stated these are the guys you would won't to help you out. So 3 people shooting and we were all over the place. Head marksman said it was either the scope or the ammo. I was using Federal match grade (white box, 325 ct). I think in the end (the circle) I got it pretty good. All advice is welcomed, and I am still relatively new to shooting (about 1,000 rds). Thanks!

My 1st thought is try some other ammo and Shorten the Yardage a Bit and Try the Iron Sites... Then work yer way back to the scope....
Thats the cheapest solutions ta start with..
Also does the RISER mont move at all... i noticed my 1" Riser Moved a bit yesterday when shooting, so will shim it a bit this week to TIGHTEN it up... and at 100yds it would be even more evident for sure..
Not familiar with that scope personaly...

Like Stav said check the riser first. But a couple of years ago I had issue with a set of rings that came with a scope, they were not tight enough around the tube. Are the rings clamped tight or is there a gap. Mine were tight against each other and not to the scope. I added a little electical tape in the rings and it worked great. Good luck.

we are good and tight. really think towards the end i was getting it dialed in. really need a proper rifle mount/bench. Pretty happy with what i got in the end but room to improve.
Anyone familiar with the knobs on this particular scope. If my last set of shots was a little low and right, what direction do I turn the knobs? The arrows point to turn up and left. I looked in the manual and it doesn't say.

Uhhh... turning the knob in the direction of the arrow moves the point of impact in that direction. Turning a knob in the opposite direction of the arrow moves the point of impact the other way.

Welcome from Baltimore, MD. & Philadelphia, PA.
I think you did pretty darn good, your last target show a decent group.I think the key is the last group you shot you used support under the stock, assuming the scope, rings, bases, eye relief and zero are tight and on center and correct. My guess would be you are flinching, have someone hand you the gun with you not knowing if it is loaded.
Aim and fire, when you drop the hammer on an empty chamber you will be able to tell if you are moving. Also try taking 5 deep breaths after slowly blowing out the last breath gentle and slowly squeeze the trigger, so slowly you will be unsure when it will fire. keep your point of aim the same, do not adjust your point of aim adjust your scope 1 click at a time.Fire very slowly , then check your point of impact after each round. You may want to invest in a spotting scope.A fixed stock will help too.Set a goal-like all my rounds in 4 by 4 inch circle, then 3 by 3 and so forth.I don't think you are going to get much better than 2 by 2 inches group with the platform you are currently using.

I would try sighting it in a little closer, then move to farther targets and re-sight as required.
Take your time and get used to the gun, no need in rushing. PRACTICE is what will get you better.
Try different ammo in your gun, one may be more consistent than the other. Seems each one of these guns have their own likes and dislikes when it comes to ammo. I know I get more consistent groups using CCI Mini-mags in mine, but they cost a little more. I would rather pull mine off the shelf and be sure I nail what I'm shooting at(critters) on the first shot, than have to make multiple shots to do the same job.
Welcome to the addiction! lol
