Default ammo deal?

Yes this ammo has been reliable in my 15-22 & $170 for 5,250 rds. is a great price, works out to .03 cents per rd.

Pretty much standard price these days. I just bought two cases from my LGS at that price - they had about 500k stacked up on the floor.

I find the Dunn's ad a little confusing. The text actually describes the Federal Auto Match 40 gr., not the 36 gr. Value Pack.

Both rounds are fine in my 15-22--the 40 gr. is a bit more accurate.

Price is good, but not exceptionaly low.

Anytime you can get ammo for .03 cents a rd. it's a good deal IMHO.

Was that before or after taxes?

I ordered this ammo about 2 weeks ago and it is $169.99 to your door. Shot some a few days ago and didn't have any failures with it. This is the best price I have seen for .22 ammo myself.

I've done an exhaustive search for .22LR ammo.
At this time it can't be beat.

Thanks - haven't tried anything but CCI, broke in with 200 rounds of Mini Mag, and have since been using Tactical or Blazer... no issues whatsoever firing those, I'm hoping these offer another option for good ammo... I guess I've got 5250 rounds to decide!

Update - I received the Federal ammo and shot about 80 rounds of it for a quick test. Had 2 FTFs... my first ever with this gun

What's really strange is the first 10 rounds grouped nice and tight... I was very pleased! But then it started opening up after each subsequent group of 10... each group larger than the previous I stopped after eight magazines (my club allows 10 rounds per magazine) - and switched back to my CCI Blazers which seemed to group tighter.
Did I not shoot enough of the Federal for it to "wear in"? I've got 10 boxes of this stuff...

probably just your individual gun. ive run about 200 rds of fed champion without any issue and others have run a lot more. i know its too late but your best bet is always to try some individual ammo before buying in bulk.
