Barrel Shroud for Threaded Barrels
hi, everybody. I have two 15-22, the PC and the MOE, both of which have threaded barrels. in many of the photos here, it seems that most people have a barrel shroud on their 15-22's. Can somebody let me know where / what / how much for one that will work with threaded barrels? thank you!

i first purchased a regular 1.125" diameter shroud from jody at tacticool. however, i prefer the thicker look so i ordered a 1.375" shroud from him and am very happy with it. i found him through these forums where he is also a vendor.

Purchased mine from kineti-tech. Many designs to chose from or create your own barrel shroud. (I did the create your own. ) Cost: $58.95, FREE shipping. Im very pleased with the quality of the barrel shroud.
Web site:
KinetiTech shrouds are made here in the USA. All items are mill Spec anodized.

Here is a pic of the one I have. I just received my Barrel Vise Jaws from tacticool22. I'll be installing the barrel shroud this weekend.

the create your own is a neat option. not sure how i feel about the 1.5" diameter, i guess id have to see one in person. the 1.375" i have looks a tad bit bulky up close but is perfect once you move back a little.

I like the custom kinetech option. I didn't know about them when I ordered my Spike's Car1. I'm happy with it though. I like the plain look.

I love the look of the Kinetech on mine. Maybe a little bulky, but I love it :-)

Either one will work. Do you want some barrel showing or do you want it completely covered?
I would take the hand guard end cap out regardless.
The 1 3/8 diameter fills up the hand guard very nicely.
The 1 1/4 inch has a "crown" on the end and looks a little more aggressive.
The standard 1 1/8 look very nice too.

I had a 6" Spikes fake can on mine till my Gemtech stamp came back. Looked like a SBR with a suppressor. Lots of cool options out there. Have you looked into buyn the real thing?
Spikes
Guess I should check dates...this thread is from July....

Tacticool 6" Shroud.
Love mine. Very lightweight and very well made! Removed endcap by pressing the small tabs(easy). Shortens the length of rifle by a little and I want to say it is lighter that my muzzle brake was ?! Either way I'm hooked, good job tacticool!!

Whatever you do, don't close the back end or you will have a suppressor.

Spike's fake can, painted flat / satin black to eliminate the lettering, under a 13" Geissele rail, made possible by Tacticool's newer adaptor! Click the pic for a larger version.

I ordered a Kineti-tech earlier in the week, looks like a awesome piece of kit. I'd love to tell you it's great, but apparently it was backordered - even though my order status is "shipped" and I have a tracking number. Hopefully it kicks *** as their customer service sucks.

Not sure I understand what you're getting at? Are you asking me what's so great about the look of the Kineti-tech stuff or barrel shrouds in general? I saw your's as well, I ended up choosing this one as I liked the look of it:
