They had a couple pink M&P 15-22s at my local shop. They sold fast probably to make some wives happy.
I think it was this one
Product: Model M&P15-22 - Pink Platinum, Fixed Stock

I painted my 1911 grips pink for the wife.
I use pink case marking paint to ID my brass as the range ( into reloading big time here).
I am man enough to shoot something pink.
Who's going to argue with you when you're running pink gear on your 1911 and shooting clean stages?

No arguments from me if you like pink or psychedelically painted firearms...........I just walk away snickering to myself.
To each his/her own...............

If buying a pink gun aided in my wife shooting more, I'd have zero qualms in buying one. I think whatever it takes to get your family to do things together is a fine thing. One of the EXACT reasons I now own a .22 fire arm. It hadn't been inside the first 5+ firearms I've ever bought but now I'm glad I did with more to follow I'm sure.
She wants pink/purple ear protection instead of my black Browning muffs - done. Whatever gets her active into shooting. She's now starting to get her info together so she too can get your CCW license. Kudos to her as I've had mine for 6 years now. She has "her" XD9sc that I carry, but if she wanted me to paint something pink or whatever on it, consider it done.
"Snickering while you walk away" is probably the most honest answer somebody would give me as I'm quite "able" a man haha. I also have zero issues with shooting said "girl" gun and am secure in my abilities and am masculine enough.
In short, Smith found a part of the market that may have been un-tapped and made a small run that in no doubt will sell. That's why they're still around, keeping the money coming in the business.

agreed, if a pink gun or any other color gets someone more involved in shooting then its a success.

My nephew was shopping for a concealed carry weapon for his wife. The only “requirement “she had is it “had to be pink”. That is when the pink thing goes too far. There is too many things to consider when choosing a CCW that really matter.

not necessarily. there are lots of different guns out there and companies offer colors because they realize it appeals to more people. now does that mean its the first requirement? no. but it can definitely be on the list with what fits her hand, she can shoot and operate well, etc.
all 4 of my guns have some od green on them. do i look at od green guns first? sure! does that mean i wont buy a black gun? nope. i can always kote it later.

Like I said, I'm comfortable with pink (these were actually my wife's reloads. If she wants to shoot she's got to reload. I borrowed some and got 100% of my brass back, mainly with snide comments about my sexuality. But I got 100% of my brass back! Been using pink ever since.
On a related note, our Spyderco Natives.
If pink is what it takes, pink is what I'll do.

Kayback, I apologize if, with my stupid humor, I offended you.....I will make no further comments on what ever colors people prefer in their firearms, bullets, and knives.
Again, I am sorry

What? No, I was just joking back. No offense taken.
That and it is the internet. You can't take anything that seriously as to get offended by it.
I did put smilies in the post.

Haha that made me chuckle
Dan - I hope you took zero offense to my post. As was said, it's the internet. I just thought I'd open up some possible scenarios to pink firearms. I'll start another thread and you can take a peek that the pink ear protection are in use, with my wife under them. Kudos to her for putting up with me and sighting in my muzzleloader today.
Just keep your dirty Umarex stuff of the forum......... j/k :P

My wife demands stainless steel and Pachy Grippers. Yes, she likes the fit and feel of the grips, but it is the look of the stainless that draws her (since cleaning and maintenance of her guns is my responsibility) not durability or resistance to corrosion. All a matter of taste. The fact that she thinks her M67 is "pretty" doesn't stop her from being well armed.
