I was reading article on CNN about a guy shooting 4 fire fighters this past week. Thoughts and prayers go out to the families of those lost and the 2 fire fighters that are recovering from this ordeal. He used a bushmaster rifle from a distance and wanted the neighborhood to go up in flames. What is going on with folks lately? I'm know bushmaster owners want to crawl under a rock right now. This Ban is bound to happen if this continues.

A ban wouldnt have stopped that one the shooter was already a felon wasnt sappose to have any firearm so you mean bad guys can get guns even though its against the law, boy gun grabbers won't ever think of it that way

Yeah I understand what you mean. If these random shootings continue it makes it harder for the rest of us because they will make sure this bill goes through.

They never should have let that guy out of prison - and the parole board knew it. They were forced to let him go.
Well, they're finally gonna prosecute a straw purchaser, at least.
So, DT, you get that camera for Christmas?

This Bushmaster owner isn't crawling under any rock any more than I'm driving my car into a lake since some drunk just ran someone over nor am I going to give up drinking just because a drunk killed someone.
So how's about them awesome new 15-22 mags???

A lot of Senators and the entire House have less than 2 years to campaign for their jobs. They know the American people are not happy with their performance and have to be feeling the pressure. We need to make sure they understand gun grabbing is not good for their re-election effort. Write or call them and in very brief terms ask them to not support any new gun legislation that restricts the purchase or ownership of currently legal weapons or magazines for law abiding citizens. If you are an NRA member, you can easily compose an email and sent it to all of your Congressmen with a click of the mouse. Keep their in-boxes full and the phones busy.

Meh. So now the story twists that the freak didn't even use an AR. It was left in his trunk so this is all bunk about banning any rifles.
Now back to some awesome mags already!!!

Happy New Year everyone!!! I've been real busy lately so I apologize for not keeping you updated. I talked to several NRA members recently about this ban issue. From what I'm told if the Mags are paid for before a Ban on high caps is approved they cannot stop them from being shipped to everyone. With that said, I still need the finished product and test it before starting a group buy. I hope the mold is complete within the next 2 weeks or I might be cutting it close. I may do a preorder if we hear the ban will go into effect. Half up front the other half after shipment. What do you guys think?

I'm in, assuming you will perform and post results of several functional tests. Any idea of rough price point?
We're in Ohio are you? I'll be in Dayton week after next.

I'd also like to see a functional test video before I commit to anything. If all is good I'd even pay in full if you could guarantee delivery.

That seems like it's riding the legality line. There's still no guarantee if for some reason that a hicap ban does go into effect, that people would be grandfathered in and get to keep them. And just for the sake of argument, wouldn't you have to pay in full for them not to be able to be stopped from shipping? Half up front seems like more of a hold than purchase. A sale isn't final until the transaction is closed. So I don't know how that would be handled in a situation like that

I would be in for a group buy, but agree with Dik that we would likely have to pay the full cost up front (I'm ok with that providing there is a guarantee of a refund if you are unable to ship for whatever reason; legal, design etc.).

I'm really looking forward to these mags. With that said time is a factor and I am going to need to at least know a ballpark price pretty soon. I'm going to load up on something, hopefully these. Time is our enemy right now though so plans have to be made.

OK Doomsday T.
Just how many can you "pump" out in a day with your injection molding ? There are tons of people looking to get these (me included),some are going to buy as many as they can get their hands on,some (of the less greedy) are looking to get a couple "2-4" for the time being so more can purchase and try them out too. How are you going to deal with limited numbered sales so we ALL can have a chance at getting at least one or two to begin with and try out ? It'd be nice getting a price range too.
What I don't want to see is some "joker" buying a boatload and then selling them way over cost on the internet and not even owning a 15-22 while we sit here twiddling our thumbs.

How about establishing a list of prospective buyers first? It would be nice to know what the projected price point will be in advance. Once you have a list you could decide what the initial quantity per order would be. I think this would be the most fair way to do this so that everyone has an equal opportunity to get these. You asked...........

The half up front price will guarantee the mag purchase is in place. It's not paid in full until the manufacturer ships the product, but it shows the intent of purchase. Technically you made the purchase and its like placing you mag on lawaway until you pay in full.

I was thinking about this also in regards to someone purchasing mags to turn around and over price them. Even if I limited have many one person can purchase they can turn around and have friends or family members purchase mags for them. I'll have to think of a way to prevent it but I'm sure someone will still figure a way to get their hands on them. Price point will be under $40 each.

I'm told approximately 35 mags per hour. I will have a buyers list to know how many I will limit each purchase to.

No worries. E-mail sent. At that price I'd like 4, but will happily take two depending on the number of people in on the pre-order.

Sent an email to you, I'd go for a pre-order of 2-4 dependent on circumstances/pricing. Do we have a definitive round count?

Like Magpul or Glock or S&W, I would curve them and make them less boxy and squared and likely to snag given the curve... IMHO of course
