Default Couldn't Wait

Hi guys. I am new to the forum. Just got my 15-22 last week. Haven't gotten a chance to shoot it yet, but couldn't wait to do some stuff to it. See the pictures below:

1. Out of the box

2. Since I live in NJ can't change the stock and grip so decided to paint it

3. Added a red dot sight and grippod

4. Got a Bulldog case

Still waiting on delivery of Rail Covers, Shroud and 3-9x32 Scope

Thank goodness you were able to use it out of the box, with it being upside-down and all, and didn't try to shoot it that way.

Just kiddin'. Welcome to the addition!

A few coats of plastic primer, tan paint and clear coat by Rust Oleum spray cans from Home Depot. Couldn't take the stock off so just taped everything else. Maybe 20 min prep and $12 for all three cans

welcome to the forum sooslik. i haven't had a chance to fire mine either yet.

in New Jersey you can't change the stock or grip? What if it is the exact same one but in a different color? No?

Gun laws here in Hawaii are kind of screwy, but seems like you guys got it way worse than us.

I just found this excerpt of part of your restricted list.

Quote:
- a folding or telescoping stock;
- a pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon;
- a bayonet mount;
- a flash suppressor or threaded barrel designed to accommodate a flash suppressor; and
- a grenade launcher
i can understand not being able to have a grenade launcher, but the rest doesn't make sense to me.

actually i think we can mount grenade launchers on our rifles as long as it has been modified to shoot only flares or smoke bombs.

in any case, looks like your rifle is coming along nicely. seems like fake silencers are legal there, huh? i like the way those look. i was going to do that until i decided to go the m4 clone route instead.

Yeah, pretty sure you are like us here in CT. You can change the stock and the grip, but adjustable stocks have to be pinned to prevent adjustment.
Looks nice though. Time to put some ammo through it.

I would have waited to make sure it worked right before modifying it.
Had to send mine back after 75 rounds.
