Modify Promag 10 rd?
From the looks of it, the 32 and 10 round promag magazines are the same except for a plug in the 10 round version. Is this correct? If so, can the plug be removed to allow for 32 rounds?
Thanks!

Consult google, not a forum dedicated to a .22 that does not accept those types of mags.
My honest answer, is wait a month or two when things go back to normal, and buy 30 (not 32) rounders.

I'm referring to a promag magazine that is made for the 15-22 (unless I am in the wrong forum?). It is plugged for 10 rounds. I live in Oklahoma and was curious if it could be modified for full capacity (32 rounds).
Searched Google with no luck. Oh well. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Im a dumbass, thought it said Pmag. Sorry all this panic buying is causing many ridiculous topics to be posted.
From what I understand, they can be modified. I know the AR mags can be. Take one apart, I am willing to be there is some type of plastic plug that is blocking it.
I would give it a go for sure, let us know how it goes.

Just remember not to do it if your state does not allow the possesion of larger mags (CA for one). Here in MD we can't buy bigger than 20 rd mags for any gun but we can go to another state and buy them and bring them back to use without violating the law (screwy law).
If you can own functional 32 rd mags then in the case of the Promags just screw them apart and remove the pin or block and put it back together. As long as it has a full sized mag spring you are good to go.

Thanks guys. I figured there was some mis-communication involved.
Being from Oklahoma, we don't have a restriction on magazine capacity so no issue with the law.
My son got a MOE and finding an extra mag in any capacity is difficult so hopefully this will work out. I'll let you know what we find.
Thanks again. Great forum!

44mag.com has S&W 25 rounders left that are pinned to accept only 10 rounds. You can remove the pin to have a now modified 25 rounder. I think they were still $17.99 as of 12-26-12. 100+ in stock. I really cant believe they are still available. Thinking about picking up 10 myself as I got 10 of the 25 rounders in FDE color before xmas that are now all gone. Figured why not grab 10 rounders and modify them since they are still available.

I am only thinking about buying some in FDE, so I can finish painting my mags only using 1 color (which is deep forest green). Buying them in FDE saves me from spraying Khaki, and the FDE matches close enough for me to consider. But I will wait for DDT mags to be available.
