I just received my kit (front site and flash hider) I've installed both and I'm very pleased! The quality of both items is great and I think they really enhance the look of my rifle! I shortened my foregrip about 1 1/2" before installing the site and I love the new appearance! Thanks Trueshot Technologies for offering these quick quality accesories!

It's not clamp on, it's a real mil-spec sight made for smaller ar barrels (.625) bored out to our 15-22's barrel width

I know... it's a newbie question, but I have to ask....
I like the A2 front sight that appears to be offered. And it looks to be a slip-on over the barrel. My new 15-22 is the 811033 model with the compensator thingy on the end.
In order to install the A2 sight, I assume I need to remove the compensator first? Is it as simple as putting a wrench on there and turning to unscrew it, and then re-install afterwards? Or is there more to it?
I don't want to screw up something on my new toy.
Also, what type of carry handle / rear sight is best for this? I'm looking for a good compromise on decent quality and functionality, but not spending huge dollars. It would seem kinda silly to put a $100 one on this particular gun.
Thanks!

Get the barrel vise...you'll need it, as these are generally on pretty tight...DO NOT clamp the poly lower, as you'll probably end up destroying it trying to unscrew the flash hider..I believe you can get the barrel clamp from tacticool...look in the classified section and you'll find it....
