Hi everyone... I finally got my first M&P 15-22 MOE (California) and I am looking forward to use it at the range but can not find any Ammo. Go figure! Everyone is sold out so I ordered a variety of ammo to see what my sweetheart will like.... After I ordered I was reading the manual and noticed Remington was mentioned 3 times on the "Do not recommend list."

I am very new to guns and Very new to ammo. This is my first gun AND I felt like I needed to get this one to practice before Feinstein/Obama banned it...

And I cant find Federal American eagle! I need to find some on the internet. Midway does not have a back order for the AE!!!!

Welcome. Unfortunately, this is the worst time to buy ammo. Two of my favorites for plinking are AE and the CCI Mini Mag. Both are very popular here as well. You'll find a lot of people stay away from Remington and Winchester. The Champion bulk is popular with few failures. You may have to try a few if you happen to have one of the finicky guns. I think you'll be pretty safe with the first two I mentioned.

The info in the manual is a recommendation - nothing more, nothing less. Many folks use it with little problem. If that's what you can get your hands on, try it and see what happens.
