I asked one LGS about 22lr and he said it was in the back room next to the unicorn, I must not have been the first to ask today. Thought maybe things would start getting better, but I think they are getting worse.

Right. So they've just sold about 5000 rounds to competition shooters in the last fifteen minutes.
Like I said, there is a sucker born...

I've had better luck buying off local guys listing .22lr on gun trader.com. I know I still paid 4x what the boxes sold for before the chaos started.

thanks for the reply. luckygunner seems to be a good site. i jumped the gun last night and bought from lohmanarms.com without any references and only a few reviews, so im hoping they actually are decent. the charge is already pending in my bank account from my purchase and i dont want it pending for a year haha

LuckyGunner is getting ammo.. I like it cause you see the ammo disappear.. Sometimes I just pick an ammo type and watch it disappear..
Tip:
To minimize the cost from them I always try and pre-shop for something they have that I might need and add it to my cart. So when the 22 shows up I add it and checkout.. I know how have 2 ammo cans coming with my last order..

Hey guys I just left the wal mart in aurora Indiana about an hour ago. Got 3 boxes of the 555rd boxes of Winchester 36gn hollow points for 23 bucks a box. They wer still on the skid when we got there out in the aisle. My girlfriend went and asked the guy at the sporting goods if he could go ahead and get them out even though they were on the bottom of the skid. He was super nice and got them for her. I figured her looks would get us farther mine lol. She pretty hot! Anyway it still showin in stock and there was 3 boxes left and I think maybe some others if anybody is close! Good luck.

At least 6 boxes of the 555rd boxes and there was another box of Winchester 22s that I could see but I don't know if they wer 333 or 100 or 50s. Saw a box marked Remington but I don't know if they wer 22s or not. Could have been more thats just what I saw. I probably should have bought my limit and hers but didn't want to be greedy and wAsnt thinkin right either! I was so shocked to see them! I will say this. Every time I check the Walmart website and it said that ammo was in stock. It has been there. It's in real time if it ses it's in stock it's in stock it may still be in the back and they haven't brought it out yet but it's there they nite tell you something different.

Whats sad is I remember back in November my local walmart had them CCI Mini Mag Ammo cans 89.99 x5. I sat there looking at them thinking I should get two just in case... Then thinking na I got bills and Christmas coming up. Only if I knew what I know now... Then the day all that stuff happened at the school. I was at the local range and they had 10 or 15 M&P 15 Sports for like 700 each and like 30 10/22's for 219 OTD. I could have made a nice profit just putting them on Gun Broker at a 1 cent opening bid.

And score.
Local Walmart got a nice sized shipment of assorted Win and Rem 22LR.
Picked up 3 Win 555 packs, as well as 3 Rem 225 GB packs.
I religiously check Walmart's website 3-4 times a day and it really payed off this evening.
Good part was, even with the size of my score. They had quite a bit more to stock.

22LR Ammo | Bulk .22 LR Ammunition For Sale Cheap
These are taking forever to sell out. 125 cases when posted.
Officially took 9 minutes to sell out. Makes me feel like the supply is catching up with demand. If I were on the stock floor, I'd be thinking sell sell sell.

I must've missed the first 13 minutes then. Looked at gunbot just to see and almost fell out of my chair. Glad some folks got in on that.

Things are starting to roll in. My local Walmart just got in one bushmaster and three more 10/22s. They sold out fast but they are getting them in. Bass pro has every kind of ammo and 22 blazers at 2.09 a box of 50

Yeah, for the first time in months, the Walmarts in my area not only received ammo, but a decent amount and selection at that.
The one I visited this mourning had 22LR, 223, 9mm, and 40 cal.
The line this morning was 15-20 deep, but with the 3 box limit, everyone in line today should have got ammo.
Checked the gun display while waiting and they had a 10-22 on display. Been a while since they've had one in stock.
For those still looking. Keep your heads up and your eyes open!

I only have 500 rds of 223 :/ I might have to hold out until I see a nice deal or things get back to some what normal. I would consider trading if approached. Good luck my brothers... While I don't think we are ever "done" looking for ammo, My supply has reached the point where I'm comfortable to not be actively hunting it.
If I come across it, I'll surely pick it up though.
Best part is I just ran the numbers, and at .04 a round it's really inexpensive.

Its made in Mexico at the Agulia plant. It retails for just under 200 US dollars, wholesale 159 or 169 dollars.. Thats why you see alot of off brands right now. Hard to get US ammo, the manufactures say there running 24/7 and doing 1 million rounds a month, but where the heck is it????? So then you get these jerk wad sites more then doubling the MSRP just to get rich quick!! Lucky Gunners one of the worst... And a few others ive purchased ammo before from at real life pricing...Im worried this **** trend is going to continue, the only places not inflating there prices is Brownells and MidwayUSA, now i may have missed a couple of other HONEST sites, and if i left u out please let us all know who u are. I feel that if we keep paying these ridiculous prices, it may take time to go back to 20 bucks per 555 rd count. What a **** storm this admin government has flown us into..cheezy!! Lets consider a boycot list for all of us to start hitting them where it hurts, there pockets, they want to sell Mexican off brands for more than double MSRP, let them sit on that stuff till it rots!! Buy only what you need to shoot now..and after it goes back to some what normal, never buy anything from these take advantage of our bad sittuations. And there supposed to be part of the PRO GUN crew, BS, there using this against us...Think bout this...let me know whats your thoughts..47 cents a round for 22lr is freakin NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im sorry not 22lr, those 1 million numbers are all ammo even rifle. CCI only has rimfire machines, and told me vie a female loader there i know from way back, told me there doing 3 shifts 24/7 and there doing 1 million rds a week of 22lr. Now remember 22lr machines only load 22lr..not so with centerfire cartridges machines, they can be torn down and switched. So I agree that some things are getting better, thats because those items are getting easyer to find, ammo is supply in demand, like the world has ended and you have to trade your wife for a 1000 rds..lol As long as its in shortage, they can name there price!!!
