Just scored some mini-mags from Natchez using the method someone described in this thread before. It only showed up in stock if you search by manufacturers and then look for in stock ammo, otherwise it doesn't show up under your standard 22lr search.
http://www.natchezss.com/brand.cfm?c...MAG%201600/CAN
FYI they got standard velocity 100 packs on sale too, but at $17 shipping those 500 rounds (maximum per order) get to about .13 a round:

Same situation. I was wondering if it went through. Looks like I'm not alone. Have my fingers crossed. Let's try to feed this thread links as intended though, please.
Eley Match @ Midwayusa - $141.99 for a box of 500 Not bad for some superb ammo.

1600 rnd cci mini mag cans are OOS now. Thanks Guys! Been trying to get my hands on some mini mags for months now, and was able to get one of the cans an hour ago because of this thread. Didn't receive an email either, but got an order number and my credit card has the charge on it already.
They still have some CCI 32 gr quick-shok hyper velocity in stock:

11.5 cents for bulk thunderbolts (+ shipping)
Looks like this place has a case of 5000 Remington Thunderbolts for $579. Thats 11.5 cents per round BEFORE SHIPPING...I didn't go far enough to see what shipping was, so that may completely kill the attraction. 11.5 is fairly pricey for thunderbolts without shipping, but better than a lot of what I've seen. BTW...I've never dealt with this company and have no knowledge of them either way. Hope someone benefits from this.

Yes! My girlfriend ordered a box and then informed me of its availability so I got one too. Didn't last very long.

Our LGS are starting to have 50ct and bulk ammo at less than 8 cents a round on a consistent basis. Seems like it is getting easier to find it on the web also. Here's a couple more high priced options.
CCI Velocitor Small Game Ammunition, .22 Long Rifle, Hollow Point, 40 GR, 1435 fps, 50 Rounds per box, 0047
Federal Premium Champion Ammunition, .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire, Full Metal Jacket, 40 GR, 1880 fps, 50 Rounds per box, 737
I'd hate to have spent a boat load feeding the frenzy!

Doesn't matter. Supply can't meet overwhelming demand. That's why reasonably priced ammo sells out in seconds. Rising prices are inevitable, no matter what you think, when sell through is that strong at normal prices. Please spare us the dime store economy lessons and let's leave this thread to providing links as intended. I can see why the mods get frustrated.

Just put your gun in the safe and keep it their until you find reasonable priced ammo. A .22 is supposed to be a fun gun to shoot, but the price, and availability to find .22 ammo is takeing the fun out of it.

I would not pay anything over .08-.10 cents a round for ..22. As stateded, put the gun in the safe before paying gouger prices. Match grade is a different story, but some of that stuff is over priced as well, that is why it is what you see available. Yes it is good ammo, but not for the price folks are asking for it right now, just because it is on the shelf.

20 million set aside
First, to honor the purpose of this thread and keep me out of trouble, let me post some 22 LR ammo in stock. 2 of these are high end match grade and 2 are 22 LR tracers (lots of fun!) and all are decent prices for what they are.
22LR, S, L
Second, I wonder how many of you know, as I just learned, that federal and CCI have pulled 20 million rounds of ammo off the market and earmarked it for "Youth shooting programs". Certainly its a noble cause, but some of us have kids we'd like to shoot with, and one also wonders if any of this gets diverted for profit. Either way, its something I thought you all might be interested in. Just so you know this isn't another conspiracy rumor, here are details:

Most of my .22 ammo build up is for my 12 year old son, who is a Boy Scout. I purchased my 15-22 for him to shoot. I want him to get in as much practice shooting as he can get, he really loves the sport. I have put him behind larger caliber rifles, but he is more comfortable with the .22 right now. I know that when I was a Scout that one of the most memorable moment was when I received my Sharpshooters badge, it was a lot of fun. We even shot some bird shot at launched clay pidgions out of those .22 target rifles. Some of my most memorable moments in life were rabbit hunting with my grandpa with a hex barrel .22. Those days are long past gone, and I miss them. You know it is a fun thought that we sited the guns in with a rubber dead blow hammer back in the day, strikeing the barrel with the hammer to site it in.

Try using the following link, it does a comparison list of a number of the rimfires normally carried by Cabela's, showing whether they are in stock oor sold out.

If you are REALLY DESPERATE, 9mmammo.com has several different brands of 22LR in stock but is outrageously pricey in my opinion. You can also use the promo code "24hr10off100" until midnight tonight for $10 off purchases over $100. I have used them before (before the ammo shortage) and they are very quick in shipping. They also have a variety of other ammo that are somewhat reasonably priced.
