This is kinda frustrating with PSA I got it added to cart then the website is freezing up. Hopefully by the time I get thought they will still have ammo.

I wouldn't be to hard on PSA. They're a smaller company and don't have the budget for a massive server farm to run their web store. Since they're on Gunbot, that means they're suddenly getting slammed with tens of thousands (possibly millions) of concurrent HTTP requests. The only thing you can do in this situation is to keep trying and hope your request goes through. The same goes for most of the smaller companies we like to do business with.

I dont think there anything that can get them thought a glut of traffic like this. Suddenly your being slammed with 1000's of people at once most likely. As great as Gunbot is its really hurting websites when it send so much traffic at once.

oh yeah i agree. i have never heard of psa until i got on this forum. and they look to be a smaller website since they use the same site format i use i assume they are using the same server company i use. and they are good but not for this kind of abuse. im sure thats why a lot of stores and websites have stopped listing ammo like this. the business is good but it can be crippling. my site went down off and on for 3 days last week because i had a big sale.

What its worth I cant even get the check out to work. Half way loads I am a little worried if I do finally get thought what will happen with my card.

I've actually had it in the cart for over an hour and kept getting the error message. Now, the whole site won't load anymore.

Guy I wouldn't be surprised if there entire website has crashed and there sold out of everything. I wouldn't give up just don't be shocked if its already out of stock. There webpage has completely crashed for me also. There a smallish company I have ordered from in the past. I bet there not equipped to handle this kinda traffic are volume.

I kept getting an error after trying to checkout. I called and after 1/2 hr wait for a rep, finally a rep answered and said I could not order through him because they are also unable to place orders through their system due to the high traffic (assuming they use the website too). The rep told me to keep trying. Well I did and still nothing but errors so after many, many tries I surrender. Not worth my time and I know they'll just sell out when it'll finally work for me anyway.

Exactly. I've got stuff in my cart for the longest now, but the site keeps crashing and can't complete the checkout. Suck.

I won't get caught in the frenzy. I keep picking away at looking at walmart and get what I can get. I have played the patience card and gotten 500 rounds for 20 bucks of thunderbolt and hit a nice load with 2250 rounds of golden hollow point Rem for 100 bucks. Its a pain but I am not paying more than about 5 cents a round. Think about it, this form gets to be a self sustaining frenzy. How are you going to feel in three to six months when you can walk into walmart and pick up a box of 333 rounds for 16 bucks? Now you have a closet full of 50 bucks a brick? I just did my Walmart rounds and picked up my limit of three boxes of 7.62x39 for 5 bucks a box. I just sold my Ruger 10/22 to a guy for 400 bucks Sunday. I bought a new one and replaced my older but in like new condition for 225 plus tax and BGC fee for 250 OTD. Made a 125 bucks that paid for my 2250 round of ammo and AK ammo. Don't get sucked into this its not going to last. I just read a post on city data forum where some guy thinks he as to have 100000 rounds of 22lr. LOL Its not zombie appolicpse

if nothing happens when you click add to cart just press enter and it will process. probably give you an error but it will process. or did for me anyway.

yup its official i hate gunbot. everytime i start to get going on psa i hear that bing from gunbot and then the site goes down again.

Forget PSA. I just had 10 boxes of CCI standard velocity in my cart but couldn't check out. Did it repeatedly.
I called and FINALLY got a customer rep who told me she couldn't do anything because they can't even get into their own website.
Oh well :-(

yep.. nothing I had worked... got to the "submit" part and came back with "error processing".. kept doing this for about an hour until I started noticing ammo was disappearing and then it gave an error that it was all out. I'd rather they not offer it.. then tell me they have it, gunbot strikes, PSA slows to a crawl, try and order a bunch of times, then have the ammo in cart.. only to tell me they've run out of inventory. I think I would rather have my hour back.

Exactly why I'm not buying any ammo online. I personally have chosen to wait it out and shoot less as consequence. IMO Now is not the time to try and build an inventory with the prices and frenzy going on.

seriously I know this is not going to be popular but they need to block Gunbot's crawlers. All there doing is crashing websites at this point. I didnt know better its almost like a DOS attack on these sights. Except its legitimate people trying to get thought all at once.

One more thing to add wonder how long before small shops like PSA stop posting ammo online because when they do sites like Gunbot end up crashing there sight.

funny you should mention it. I've said the same thing before. Gunbot was a good idea.. until it went viral. Now it just pisses me off. lol

I spoke to my buddy last night about DDOS'ing the gunbot servers. This way everyone has the same chance and people actually have to work to find ammo instead of hoards congregating at the gunbot flood gates.

I am kinda wondering my self if gunbot could face legal issues. Due to the fact there crashing websites now. I am sure that was not there goal. What happen's if these smaller company's like PSA end up losing there website hosting because of gunbot sending so many people. I am not a lawyer but into day's world I could see someone suing for something.

Looks like these places need a better host, The servers are active as you can ping them and get a fast repsonse they are probably maxed out on connections into the host, which would be a result of poor website planning

They have never needed major hosting. Plus website hosting can get extremely extremely expensive. I bet this sight a grand to run every month.

Damn I hate PSA's system. I wish they would just put in a system where you temporarily reserve what you put in the cart even if it's only 5 or 10 minutes. I spent 3 hours just trying to get a few boxes so I could go shooting in a few weeks and got to final checkout then boom error. retry error retry quantity not available. fix cart quantity checkout error error oh out of stock. Three damn hours of this and nothing. Couldn't get a single box cuz every time it would error then quantity unavailable.

Most if them will stop showing live feeds if gunbot is creating to much traffic kind of what lucky gunner did. Most of these companies are set up for a few hundred hits a day now they are getting thousands at the same point in time. It would cost thousands in upgrades to hold the traffic from gunbot they are not going to invest for panic time.

Well this stuff is really gettin out of hand. I finally got my order from Natcheezy....5 boxes of 525....2 for the ole timer down the road....1 for my son..and 2 for me and the wife. THATS IT!!! I will live with what I have till things calm down. Good luck to all of you. I will now hunt more with the rounds I have and target practice less. There are 1050 critters out there to put on the table!!!
