Question Tru-glo riser mount, dumb question

I got a 15-22 & a Center Point 4x16x40 scope from the wife & kids for Christmas. So I ordered a Tru-glo riser & ir arrived the other day. Just got around w/trying to install tonight.

My question is will it matter is the scope base rings hang over the edges of the riser frt. & back? The mounting bolt is in the picatinny slot but the ring base are not all the way on the mount. Just barely hang over both edges. I wouldn't think on a .22 it would matter, but wanted to check. Not really enough room to move scope rings inward anymore.

So should I keep it or returm & get a longer mount?

You'll be fine. My 10/22 use to be setup like that. Never had an issue. Eventually I ditched the riser and got taller rings.

Thanks for the quick response. I figured they'd be ok since it's not like it has alot of recoil.

I'll snap a pic tomorrow before I mount to make sure all is well. Probably being paranoid!

Taller rings would be my answer...even if it is just a .22lr, I don't like janky setups.
