Default S&W customer service

My new moe did not have rail covers so I contacted s&w via email. The first response was the moe did not come with them. I said I read online they did and said that a forum I read said they send them out and customer service was great! Their next response was that the rail on a moe is smooth nd has no need for covers like the tactical versions. Really?! At this point I called cust service and spoke with someone and he said they stopped putting them in but as a courtesy he would send them out. Thank god I called, just saved $30

Hmmm, I never saw a S&W provided description or picture of a MOE that included rail covers or indicated any difference in the MOE version aside from the grip, the buttstock, the sights, and the single point sling mount, but I only started looking at 15-22s a few months ago.

It's cool that they hooked you up though.

They came in the box with the FDE MOE, not the Black MOE. If you have the black version, you lucked out with Smiths very good customer service. A pack of SureFire rail covers in $12.00, I dont know why people pay $12.00 a piece for MagPul ladder covers.
