Just finish shooting a brick (500 rounds) of Win Super X this weekend.

Worked like a charm.

The non-bulk packaged ones seem to be reliable in my gun.

However, I bought a couple of special edition bricks of Super X in the wooden box from Bass Pro before Christmas, one for me and one as a present for a friend. This stuff was pretty ****** w/ an average of at least a dud per box of 50 and 5 uncrimped rounds where the bullet fell out of the casing while loading. Friend had similar results shooting his brick out of his 10/22. Kinda turned me off on them a bit...

damn, that's what I just picked up was the 500 round wooden box. I guess I will have to wait and see how my 15-22 likes it. hopefully it will.

The 50/100 boxes seem to be OK. Yesterday I lit into a Win 333 bulk pack with a Browning SAR/s&w 34 and a s&w pre18. In both revolvers bullets were shaving in the forcing cones and leaving a "spiderweb" of lead in the front of each charge hole. Accuracy was almost non existant. The Browning which has never choked on any .22 ammo before would not constantly close the bolt on a fresh round when it cycled. It was as if the rounds were too large in dia. to chamber. In both revolvers the rounds would chamber easily but would require a very hard push on the ejector rod to get the empties out...............PURE JUNK!

Had good luck w/100rd packs in wife's 15-22, have not tried them in mine yet. They also did good in my 10/22 & Buckmark pistol.

We tried the winchester 333 bulk in our 1522s. It was not good- several ftf.My son tried it with his davy crickett while squirrel hunting a couple of years ago. After 4 ftf at the same squirrel, it got away. Son was mad, dad was snickering, squirrel was happy. Needless to say no winchester ammo in our household. Nothing but cci and federal hollowpoints for us.

Bought a 100 rd box of the Super X power points. They worked great in mine. So far, those and the CCI standard velocity LRN's are the only thing mine likes. I haven't had the opportunity to try many different brands and types yet. She doesn't like Rem GB's or the Federal bulk 550 red box.
