Another botach tactical ***
Tried to order a magpul afg2 through them for a nice upgrad for my 15-22. Since I signed up to be a member I got a decent discount and there's free shipping. Just got and email 2 days later saying its back order with no exact eta. Didn't think that would happen with just a foregrip.

Join the club. I ordered magpul magazine followers,i got a shipping tracking number a few hrs later stating they have shipped. The next day they said they were back ordered and refunded my money. I have done business with botach in the summer with no issues. With all the panic buying and hoarding going on. Its going to be a while to get anything from botach or other places for that matter.

I had a similar experience with this company, where it appeared the item was in stock but a few days later I was notified it wasn't. Inconvenient yes. Reason to bad talk a company online... no.
I run a business too & wonder what would happen to me if I was bombarded with orders, as never before. Yes, some companies have pretty darn good, real time inventory systems, but do you really want to bash every company that was not 100% prepared for this rush to order everything gun? Heck, the class 3 dealer down the road had to lock the door & tell walk up customers to go away, so that they could attempt to handle the rush of online orders.
In my situation, my card was not charged & I was given the opportunity to cancel or backorder. I hold no grudge for this company & understand these are trying times in this industry, and would gladly try them again when everything gets back to normal... whatever that is.

My experience with Botach -ordered IN STOCK items online.
After a week I inquired why I didn't have them....turned out they did not have what they showed IN STOCK and did not know WHEN they would have them.
They were still shown as IN STOCK well after I ordered, yet they actually didn't have any. Did I mention they inflated they price 50% beyond "list price"? For something they didn't even have?
Yes I'll badmouth a company that does that. It is not acceptable to me.

I have a couple of Magpul 30 rounders on b/o with them. Showed in stock when I bought them but a few days later I got an email saying same thing as posted above...sorry...if you want to cancel let us know. To tell the truth I forgot about them until I saw this thread. Figure I'll just sit on them as the haven't charged my CC but going forward I'll keep my business with better companies like Midway and JoeBob etc

Granted, they are having inventory issues but why complain about the pricing now? Seems to me you were plenty happy with their pricing initially, as you placed an order. We do live in a free enterprise society where supply & demand can impact pricing. If you were willing to pay a surcharge for a non essential item, why bring it up now & attempt to damage their reputation? You agree to their pricing. You could have said no.
Now if you wish to badmouth a company that is having inventory issues during this time of mass hysteria, where folks like you are willing to pay 50% extra for an item, then that is your choice. I'm just saying I can easily see where certain companies were caught unexpected & don't have the tools or resources to handle all these orders properly & in a timely manner.

Botach wasn't one of those companies. That's how their "business" is ran all the time.
They've been doing this **** for years....fishing for customers.

Do you people not do a little research on companies before you buy from them??? This is how Botach operates...either don't order from them or quit whining when it isn't shipped right away.
I have ordered from them a couple of times when I wasn't in a hurry and didn't have any problems.

All you state is understood, but why does Botach send emails stating items are shipped and even provide a shipping/tracking number only to send you an email days later that the items are on backorder with no ETA. They must have the worst inventory system or ???
I got started ordering items from Botach after purchasing an item from them listed on eBay. I actually bought a couple of things from them on eBay. One thing to note, items listed on eBay ship out...items on Botach website, GOOD LUCK!

I ordered from them and received a confirmation email, followed by an item shipped email, and two days later followed by and out of stock email. I emailed them for an explanation and never received a reply. I will not order from them again.

I got those from "rrages" off ebay. I have ordered from them in the past with no issues and this was no diffent. They had a large red banner stating that orders would be slower than usual due to the high demand. I got them a week later than usual.
The high demand is even slowing huge places like Cabela's, Brownell's and the like.

I guess I got lucky when I ordered a S&W 25 rd magazine well after all the craziness started and they shipped it out in a week. Now I regret not buying the three that they allowed. I guess you never know.

Well, now we know who ended up with the last one they had in stock! I would frame that and hang on the wall. Congrats to you.

I've ordered from Botach a number of times without any issue. I do read the fine print closely and tend to buy more closeouts and specials, both of which I guess are likely in stock.

First order with Botach, I got Botach'd.
Botach showed 15-22 mags in stock on 1/9. I ordered the max of 3 plus a fore grip. Got an email on 1/14 that they had all shipped w/ one tracking number.
As of 1/29, that USPS tracking number still said "tracking number received" and nothing else.
Later in the day on 1/29 I got another email with a new tracking number for the fore grip only. It now says in transit, while the other tracking number still just says "tracking information received."
Then on 1/31, they sent me an email saying the 3 magazines I ordered are back-ordered. This was 22 days after I placed my order.
I replied to the email and two days later they answered and said the mags will ship when they are back in stock. I'm not holding my breath. They did refund the money to my credit card though.

First of all....Yugowego, you are way cool to help out a member. Kudos!
Second, on my 15-22, I use the airsoft version of the AFG2. It's like $19.00 on Amazon. Have the regular version on the AR-15, but for the .22, the airsoft version is perfect. Can save some $$$ by going that route, for anyone looking.

But the difference....and some don't realize it....is that the Botach does this a lot. Before the 2008 elections were even a twinkle in Obama's eye, folks would order from Botach and then discover days later that the stuff was not in stock. They have always done business like this for a long, long time. It has nothing to do with the current crisis. So yes, I'll mention their business practice as I don't like to see people get the wool pulled over their eyes when there are so many other good places where they can spend money. Just sayin'......

I wasn't complaining about the pricing and yes I was more than willing to pay what they wanted.
Why? I had two brand new 15-22s and only one mag each. They were the ONLY place I found on the net saying they had the mags in stock.
THEY LIED.
If they were caught "unexpected" then they need to catch up on what is going on in the firearms community.
Bottom line don't offer what you can't deliver.
Personally I do not reward unacceptable behavior or business practices. Tried them once. They failed. Won't do it again.
Done.

I waited over 4 months for a delivery from BoTach. And I didn't mind because I wasn't in a hurry and they were much cheaper than anyone else.
My point is that I understand that they will promise you product that they don't have and so far I've always received it .....eventually.
At least they've never charged my card before shipping the goods unlike some other businesses.

RN Jim,
Listen to the VOICES of experience here, LOTS of us have been Botach'd...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A few of us thought we got lucky in January when they posted they had 25 rd. 15-22 mags... I ordered 4 before they put on a 3 mag limit... and I knew i was making a questionable purchase with what had been said about them on the forum already... Immediately got a confirmation of order being filled and tracking info... got package of what was supposed to be 4 mags... exactly 7 days after order.!!! Opened package... to find i had received 4... Beretta 92 9mm mags in package.!!!!!!!! At least 2 others on forum here got same shipment.!!! how many other...unknown... know of 3 others that got correct shipments... after i had ordered... ;0(
TRIED for 10 days to get thru to customer service... not one human answered a call... or my email... or a live chat window on their website.!!!
Bottom Line... Not Again... EVER.!!!!!!
Brownells and Midway...are much bigger....never once had a screw up from them...
Hope you understand more clearly now...
Paul

Jim- Read this. Botach.com
Mass hysteria has nothing to do with it. It is their business model.

I got Botached today also. Ordered a Leupold 67165 3-9x40 Mar AR w/Duplex scope, which shows as being in stock, it is still showing as in stock right now. MY CC shows pending charge for it from them?? Now three days later I get: 1 Leupold-67165 3-9x40 Mark AR w/Duplex back ordered with no ETA"
No more BoTach Tactical for me.
