Unhappy Just a few sad pics

Well the reason they are sad pics is that I recieved this thing for Christmas from my wife & it's still NIB...I've picked up a few goodies to go w/since Christmas but yet to install them either. Have not shot the first round yet, very sad.

I have shot her 15-22 that I got her Christmas 2011 though. Also threw in a pic of hers when it was brand new. Her's is also still just like from the factory no upgrades.

Hers has, alot. That pic was before I wrapped it before Christmas 2011.

Mine at first mine was not being shot because I was scared to use up the little stock of .22lr I had. I hadn't planned on .22lr shortage, good on pretty much everything but .22lr. Now that problem has been fixed, bought a case plus wha I already had & should be good for a bit now.

I just haven't had the time since getting the ammo up to par. Which is also sad because I do RSO duty every weekend pretty much at our range. But we are not really supose to shoot while on duty.

Get it out and shoot that thing !!!
It's nothing more than an expensive paperweight
if you ain't sending hot lead downrange from time
to time.
Looks like a nice set-up. Hope you get some trigger
time soon.

Chuck

Default SALE

Is the 15-22 also an (M&P) 15-22? Or just a Smith&Wesson? Plus if you don't mind may I ask the cost of one? I don't know allot about guns just bought my second one last week M&P 40 cal Smith&Wesson pistol. The last gun I had was about 20 years ago just a little smub nose 38. I'm wanting to get a 15-22 (M&P) 15-22 Smith&Wesson or a 223.

I knew I should have bought one of the pink ones when they were so plenitful. Grand daughter wants one now.

I know several guys that have safe queens that only get wiped down; never been shot.

I just dont understand it myself; I buy them and shoot them; if I dont like they way they shoot. They get traded or sold.

Bill

I know how you feel. I picked up one probably about a month ago but it was only last week that I was able to find some CCI to break it in but now I have been to busy to get to the range. I have spent the month contemplating the accessories for it but only have an AFG on it right now. Actually, I am doing exactly what I did with my AR which is struggling with what sort of sighting system to use. Not sure if I want to stick with factory irons, switch to Magpul MBUS, Bushnell TRS-25, or a scope. And, I can't begin to decide what scope. And, I will be moving the end of this month so February may be a wash for going to the range. For now I take it out of the box and admire it and put it back neatly. One day we will have some fun. I am just glad to finally have one.

Mike, the 15-22 is synonymous with M&P 15-22 and S&W 15-22. If you want to get technical, it's the Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22. Costs range from around $400-$500 normally depending on which model you get.

What's so bizarre?
It's just extremely out of character for this forum. Usually purchasers barely make it home before shooting. And all the goodies you already purchased - 10 round short mags - are you kidding me? Where did you find those these days? And you didn't even have any .22LR ammo to shoot, let alone be able to find or bum from a buddy? To have a rifle that nice, with that many mags and goodies, FOR THE GENERAL PERSON THAT POSTS ON THIS FORUM to have never fired a shot from the rifle... now that is the definition of Bizarre.

By now I'd have probably gone outside in the middle of the night, popped off a double tap into the air and blamed "someone" down the street if people asked if I'd heard anything. (Joking, of course. But hopefully you see the humor in not having fired a rifle as fun as the 15-22 after two months of ownership.)

Keep it up and your gonna have to turn in your Man Card and receive a "woosie card" in exchange.....

You could shut the range down for the rest and do some shooting on your own....

I haven't had any problem getting bulk 22lr around me. bought 6 boxes at Dicks Sporting Goods, went to car, went back in and bought 6 more with plenty left on the shelves. I also was lucky enough to get a couple boxes of blazer bulk from my local gun shop. have had mine for about a month and have already gotten about 2k rounds through it with only 2 ftf issues. using both plinker tactical and s&w mags. went olive drab on my accessories.

LOVE my pink rifle. You and your wife have good taste, Richeyo! Now get out and shoot that thing, would ya?

Mike, the 15-22 and 15 (.223/5.56) may look alike, but are quite different. Maybe you can rent some and test them out first.

Yes the 15-22 is in the M&P product line. I believe the wife gave $540ish for my MOE & I paid $430ish for hers in 2011.

Yeah it's odd I agree. No we Have shot hers quite a bit. After she got her 15-22 our boys kinda ditched the 10/22.

I had some .22lr but wasn't nearly as stocked up on it like most calibers & since getting the case I just haven't had the time.

If weather is decent tomorrow & time permits I'm going to try & go shoot. If not maybe I can sneak in some shooting while on RSO duty Sat or Sun. Believe me I'm ready, two boys active in sports, volunteering at kids school, working, wife working nights, & RSO duty in the weekends just not much free time.

Believe me, I feel your pain on that front. You pretty much described my life other than the fact that I have two daughters. I see you're also blessed to be from Mississippi. Anyway, hope you get some shooting in soon.

True on the rain gear! No grandkids yet, hopefully that will be a while. My boys are to young, one turns 9 next month the other 15 in a couple months.

Well didn't get to shoot after all, something came up w/the boys after school.

I did however get the scope mounted & mags loaded...I'd picked up a Magpul RVG (what I use on my other AR's) & AFG2 grip to try.

Just don't think I like the AFG2 & probably will return. I'd tried the AFG1 when it first came out & didn't care for it either, figured the 2 being smaller I might like it better. IDK maybe I'm just use to the RVG.
